Double duty ... Beautiful Day - Stamp Review Crew & Global Design Project

Welcome! Today It just so happens that two of the challenges I participate in are aligning so closely I figured I’ll stamp one card for both.

This is the Beautiful Day Edition of Stamp Review Crew. And this card follow the sketch challenge for Global Design Project. #gdp222

What is the Stamp Review Crew? We are an international group of paper crafters that get together to feature and review a single Stampin’ Up! stamp set on the first and third Monday of each month. All of our previous stamp set reviews are archived. Click here to see all of the hops!

What is the Global Design Project? Another talented group of international stampers who create projects weekly (every Monday) based on a theme, color, sketch or designer. This week we have a sketch challenge and were charged to create something based from this template >>.

My card paired the Beautiful Day stamp set with a new favorite stamp set from the Jan - June mini catalog, called Seriously the Best. I adore the large sentiments in the set and plan on using them often. The large butterfly in the Beautiful Day set was just screaming to paired up with these sentiments.

TGIF Challenges: TGIFC245 - Color Challenge

Happy New Year! Welcome to the first TGIF Challenge of 2020. This week we are playing with color: Rich Razzleberry, Blackberry Bliss and Very Vanilla.

This card is the first card I have created in 2020. I have had absolutely NO time to craft. I made absolutely nothing the last two weeks of December and was feeling the urge to make. I threw this together quickly this afternoon and am loving the end result. New products RULE! I used a couple of brand spanking new products from the Jan - June catalog and the Sale-a-bration promotion. These products are available starting Jan 3. Festival of Christmas - Last Minute

5. Last Minute Lucy

Neighbor gifts always seem to be the last project I tackle. This year I made a double batch of caramel and packaged in disposable case. I normally cut and wrap each caramel individually however due to lack of time I opted to give out containers full of caramel. Caramel recipe is at the end of this post. Yum!

Caramels - Mom's stovetop recipe

1 can Eagle Brand Milk
1.5 C. Light Karo Syrup
2 C. Sugar
1 Stick Butter (1/2 cup)
1 Stick(1/2 cup) imperial margarine
pinch of salt
1 tsp. Vanilla - add last right before you remove from heat.

• 1. Combine ingredients and slow cook to medium ball stage (about 1 hour). Stir constantly.

• 2. Do an ice water drop test to confirm firmness. Test with candy thermometer - Temperature approximately 230-240.

• 3. When finished add vanilla. Remove from heat and pour into a buttered 8x8 glass pan.

• 4. Let set for 1 day and cut into squares and package in was paper.
