Creating Kindness Blog Hop - Summer Fun - Flowers of Friendship

July 1, 2021
IMG_5818.jpg

Hello! Welcome to the July edition of the Creating Kindness Blog hop. This month we are playing with the theme ‘Summer Fun’. I think of rainbow, bright colors, pretty flowers and hot days when I think of summer. This card feels very summery to me. My project today features the ‘Flowers of Friendship’ stamp and punch bundle.

I created a rainbow watercolor in the background of this card slowly blending one color into the next. I then stamped in versamark and heat set the images using white emboss powder. I really love this look, soft with bold colors. I hope you enjoy it too.

Every month we invite a guest designer to create along with us. Leena Girsa is our guest this month.

Creating Kindness Blog Hop - Spring Fling - Flower Explosion using In Bloom Bundle

Hello! Welcome to the April edition of the Creating Kindness Blog hop. This month we are playing with the theme ‘Spring Fling’. Nothing says spring better than pretty flowers … and in this case projects featuring an explosion full of flowers. Both of my projects today feature the ‘In Bloom’ stamp and die bundle.

A little about these projects … First I landed on a color palette. The colors used are Magenta Madness, Blushing Bride, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Old Olive and Pear Pizazz.

Next I set to work cutting loads and loads of flowers and leaves in each color. Having the cut flowers at the ready made arranging a bouquet easy. I decided to keep each layered flower the same color, including the pearl in the center. Keeping the flowers monochromatic helps simplify all the busy flowers. The flower petals have been curved and shaped using a Bone folder.

With all the leftover flowers I was able to create a simple box card. You could really go crazy adding flowers and adornment to the general box card. I kept it simple but I found this bundle is perfect for making a pop up box card. A full list of supplies can be found below.

December 14, 2020
gdp 271.png

Hello friends! Our Global Design Project theme for this week is winter/Holiday. Do you have a favorite winter or Holiday stamp set? I’m keen on the Snowman Season stamp set from Stampin’ Up! that was released last year. I decided to create a simple watercolor card using the happy snowman. Primary color is Coastal Cabana.
