Global Design Challenge - GDP197 - Believe You Can

July 8, 2019
gdp197.jpg

Hello all. Happy summer!

We are playing with color this week at the Global Design Project. This challenge feels very summery to me. The color challenge is to use Terracotta Tile, Seaside Spray and Pear Pizzaz together on a project. Two of the colors are part of the 2019-2021 InColor family and so there are many papers and accessories available in these colors.

My card today features the Host set called Believe You Can. I’ve colored the THANKS image using Stampin’ Write and Stampin’ Blends markers. The image has been cut out using the Stitched Nested label dies. A full list of supplies can be found below.

Ready to play along? This might be a tough week to participate. Summer is hard but if you have a minute we’d love to see your creations.

Congratulations to my Stampin’ Up! demonstrator friends are on the incentive trip to the Greek Isles (prize trip earned for sales and recruiting). You people are amazing and inspire me.

A white wedding card with a little black tie! This card is so much prettier in person. I had such a difficult time trying to photograph the white irridescent foil on the Basic White Cardstock. I used layers of white ribbons, vellum, cardstock, and foil to create this look. Card created for @stampinfancyfriday B&W challenge. I’m not a blending brush expert. Ink blending takes patience, and time but when you stamp on top of it, you can hardly see the mistakes… ha! Spooky trick. I used a circle punch and post it note to create a simple mask and set to blending a moody night sky. Cards created using the ‘Oh My Fright’ stamp set for #gdp568 #ohmyfright #stampinup #cardmaker #cardmakingreels
Teal or purple?! Both are great for a spooky background.

Colors used:
Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock
Fresh Freesia and Berry Burst

I can't decide if I have a favorite? The greeting and bat images are from the 'Oh My Frights' Halloween stamp set

I used hot foil to create this card and a second card with the leftover negative foil from the hot foil die. Two for one! There’s something just so satisfying about peeling the foil away from the card stock. Foil is Light Pink. Foil die is called: GARDEN SILHOUETTE HOT FOIL DIE #stampinup #cardmaker #hotfoil #gardensilhouettehotfoildies
