Birthday (16 Candles) - One Stamp at a Time

February 13, 2020

Hello Friends! THE OSAT team is back. Let me introduce you all to the One Stamp at a Time team. These talented crafters have been creating projects (a card and non card) based on a certain theme since 2015. We feature these projects in a monthly blog hop. I’m super excited to join this crew and hop with them every month.

This month we are celebrating BIRTHDAYS. While the birthday theme is 16 candles we were given the liberty to create any birthday themed project (not only candles).

I’m feeling like I need a vacation. A tropical Hawaiian vacation! Inspired by Hawaii my projects are a birthday card and chocolate box created with a tropical theme using the Timeless Tropical bundle. The flowers and leaves from the Timeless Tropical stamp set have been colored using Stampin’ Blends and cut out using the dies. This color palette is bright and soft at the same time, a fun juxtaposition. The pop of black is really striking against the expanse of white. That black and white stipe is from a Sale-a-bration Freebie favorite called Golden Honey Designer Series Paper.

My non card item is a decorated clear mini treat box filled with a piece of salted chocolate covered caramel. Yum!

A full list of supplies can be found below.

Global Design Project - GDP227

February 10, 2020

Hello friends. Our theme this week at Global Design Project is Let it Grow. My favorite things to grow are berries, strawberries, raspberries and blackberries. It’s super rewarding to grow something so sweet and then use it all up. I love to make jam and most of my berries end up in jam.

My card this week features a fun set called Witty-cisms. I wanted the Strawberry image alone so cut the stamp apart so I could use the strawberry image only to create the background.

Creating Kindness Blog Hop - Floral

Hello friends! Happy February. While I love January I am sure happy to be starting a new month.

The Creating Kindness team is hopping again. This month our theme is Florals. If I could choose a single image to stamp with it would be a flower. They are so pretty, unique and easy to create with. My card today is full of flowers. I created a shaker card filled with tiny beads. I’ve used the Dressed to Impress stamp set and the new So Sentimental Bundle.

The Flowers surrounding the greeting are colored using Stampin’ Blends. The Greeting has been heat set with black emboss powder for that little extra pop!

This card will be sent off to my Grandma (she loves purple) to thank her for a recent birthday gift. I think she will enjoy this interactive card.

Our guest this month is Sue Vine. I can’t wait to see what she has created along with all of my other friends, many of which will share how to ideas with their floral cards. The full link up can be found below. Thanks for stopping by.

More pumpkins! Playing with these stencil decorative masks is kind of addicting. I used a blending brush, Cajun Craze & Golden Glow inks to color the pumpkins. Stamp set is called Painted Pumpkins. I had to pull over because it honestly didn’t look real. So vibrant, and no filter! The leaves look like Cajun Craze and Golden Glow came to life. Those two colors, along with Pretty Peacock, are the palette for this week’s @global_design_project color challenge. I used those two colors to create the pumpkins on this card. Card base is Pretty Peacock. Play along with us and tag your project #gdp569. #stampinup #cardmaker #paintedpumpkins #colorchallenge
