Sailing Home - Anniversary card - Charlet Mallett, Stampin Up!

Global Design Project - CASE Challenge - GDP204 - Sailing Home

August 26, 2019

I love a super clean and simple sketch. This week we get to CASE this card by the talented Kerstin Kreis.

What struck me first about her card is the layout, overall symmetry and strong focal point. I tried to incorporate those three elements into my CASE version.

My project uses the Sailing Away Suite of products and the stitched rectangle dies. I love how clean and simple this card is. A good sketch is always a great place to start. A full list of supplies can be found below.

My husband and I recently celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary with a sunset harbor sailing cruise. While the weather was kind of foggy and overcast it was still a beautiful evening. The next day we even had an opportunity to visit a couple of lighthouses in Maine. Perfect card for this occasion!

Join us. Want to play along? Give this CASE a try. I can’t wait to see what you come up with for this Global Design Project Challenge. Be sure to take your project #gdp204 so we can see your creation.

Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!

Monday Montage 146 - Beautiful Friendship

August 25, 2019

The Montage Montage crew is back today to share what we are working on.

This week I was playing around with the Beautiful Friendship stamp set … just for fun. No reason other than to craft. I did need to create a wedding card but ended up with a birthday card. Lol. Here is the card I came up with. It’s sweet and simple with a few nice layers all clustered in the center of the card.

I’m digging these colors together: Calypso Coral, Petal Pink, Sahara Sand Bermuda Bay & Basic Black. The black really makes everything POP.

The Monday Montage crew is a talented bunch. A quick refresher, the Montage gals host a blog hop every other Monday showing you fun and exciting Stampin’ Up! products. Ready for more Stampin’ Up! inspiration? Be sure to loop through the entire hop and see all of the amazing artwork created just to inspire! Next up is Cheryl.

OOPSIE! Sometimes links break. If this happens you can link back up with up with each of us on our home pages listed out below. Thanks for visiting! Charlet

Global Design Project - Theme Challenge - GDP203

August 19, 2019

A new baby calls for a handmade card! My cousin recently added to her family and I finally got a chance to use this set for a baby card. The timing is also perfect as we have a SUN, MOON AND STARS challenge at Global design Project.

What I like about this card … Gold embossing, watercolor, black and white polkadot stars and sequins. Ha! That’s pretty much everything. This card is long and skinny. I’ll package it with the gift and mail together. Now i’m off to buy a gift. Lol. Card first, gift second. Seems about right.

Join us. Want to play along? Give this theme a try. I can’t wait to see what you come up with for this Global Design Project Challenge. Be sure to take your project #gdp203 so we can see your creation.

Birch - Stamp Review Crew

August 18, 2019

Welcome to the Birch Edition of Stamp Review Crew. I love background stamps. What could be better than a really large stamp? When I say I love them, I really do. I have a collection. I never get rid of them. I’ve posted a few pictures of my collection at the end of this post.

This background stamp is the pattern of a Birch tree. I’ve used it on my card inside the stitched window. I’ve also created a couple of napkin rings. The Birch looks so real. Just like it was shed from a tree. Both projects also use the Beautiful Friendship stamp set.

What is the Stamp Review Crew? We are an international group of paper crafters that get together to feature and review a single Stampin’ Up! stamp set on the first and third Monday of each month. All of our previous stamp set reviews are archived. Click here to see all of the hops!

Ready for more inspiration using this stamp set? Next up is Lou. Be sure to go through the hop to see what ALL my talented friends have created using this set. Thanks in advance for taking the time to comment. I love to hear from you.
