Global Design Project - THEME Challenge - GDP199

July 22, 2019

For the love of CRAFT! What a fun theme challenge. The Global Design Project is playing around with our favorite tools, literally. My card features the scissors and greeting from the stamp set called Crafting Forever. I paired it with the Follow Your Art papers and embellishment kit. The papers have a darling design with scissors that fit this theme perfectly. I like this card because it could be given to paper crafting friends or sewing friends.

Are you ready to play along? Give this theme a try. I can’t wait to see what you come up with for this Global Design Project Challenge. Be sure to take your project #gdp199 so we can see your creation.

TGIF Challenges: TGIFC221 - Christmas in July

July 19, 2019

Do you make Holiday projects in July? Sometimes the fancy strikes. ‘Christmas in July’ is this TGIF Challenge for this week. The Stampin’ Up! Holiday mini catalog is just around the corner but since we don’t have those new Holiday products to play with yet I thought I would take a stab at creating a Christmas card using Waterfront stamp set and the A Wish for Everything bundle. It turned out pretty cute!

Ready to play along with us? Check out the TGIFChallenges Blog for more details. Tag your projects #tgifc221 so we are sure to see them.

Global Design Sketch Challenge - GDP198 - Bloom & Grow

July 15, 2019

Look at this adorable sketch! I think it’s such a great sketch to build a card from. I created this Bloom & Grow Thank You card for GDP198 - Global Design Project

What I like about this card … the delicate but roughened texture around the Petal Pink card stock, the subtle layering and the somewhat monochromatic color combo. What do you like?

Are you ready to play along? Give this sketch a try. I can’t wait to see what you come up with for this Global Design Project Challenge. Be sure to take your project #gdp198 so we can see your creation.

Monday Montage 143 - Floral Essence Birthday card fro Grandma

July 14, 2019

The Montage Montage crew is back today to share what we are working on.

Tomorrow my Grandma turns 89. This week I set out to make her a custom birthday card. Her favorite color is purple, it has been for as long as I can remember. I would love to visit her home as a child. She had a purple living room with white carpet and a purple couch that I just loved. Her piano room had purple shag carpet (gotta love the 70’s).

When I looked through my supplies I felt the Floral Essence stamp set and papers would make a beautiful card for her. I also used the Making a Difference stamp set for the numbers 89 and the xx for the HAPPY die. A full list of supplies can be found below. I hope she loves it.

This card has lots of dimension so I will need to hand deliver. Lucky for me I head to Utah soon and can gift it then. I’ll have to text her a photo tomorrow so she can see it on her big day.
