Rooted in Nature - TGIF Challenges Technique - TGIFC189

December 7, 2018
TGIFC189.jpg

Hello friends! How’s December treating you? Are you as busy as me? I’m sure packing it in. The busier I am, the busier I get. Weird.

Why not chuck another challenge into the mix? LOL. It’s Friday which means it’s time for a TGIF challenge. This week we have a really soothing color combo for you.

I pulled out a catalog favorite to create this card. You can use just about any stamp set in the right colors to create a winter / holiday card. The trees on this card are from the stamp set Rooted in Nature (stamped a gazillion times). The Deer is from the Detailed Deer thinlets and the verse is from xx set.

My favorite little detail on this card the Balmy Blue paper handmade scarf. I feel for the deer in our area. They must be freezing. I know they are used to the cold but if I were a deer I’d want a scarf.

Like this color combo? Ready to fit in one more item on your to do list this December? HA! Visit here for more details. #tgifc189. THANKS for visiting.

I would LOVE to be your Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

Peaceful Noel - Creating Kindness Blog Hop - Seasonal Florals

December 6, 2018
27629490_10211302687302726_717694866806272118_o.jpg

Welcome to another Creating Kindness blog hop. Our THEME for this months hop is: Seasonal Florals. This is a super fun theme to have with a group of international stampers because our seasons are all different.

It’s a cold winter in the East Coast of the United states. While you don’t see many flowers this time of year you do see poinsettias, berries, pine needles … your basic winter foliage. I did not purchase a poinsettia stamp set this year so I opted to use the flower from the First Frost stamp set.

Ck First Frost (4 of 4).jpg

Every once in a while I make a card that I fall in LOVE with after it’s finished. This is that card. I just love the look of the Peaceful Noel images stamped on the book print Dashing Designer Series papers (Stampin’ Up! brought these papers back for purchase while supplies last!).

The Pine, Berries and Little Berry Dot images come from the Peaceful Noel stamp set. The greeting is from Farmhouse Christmas stamp set and the Merry die cut is from the Christmas Thinlets. A full list of supplies can be found below.

Every month we invite a guest to join us. Our Guest Designer this month is the talented Liz Holloway. It’s so much fun to have different & new designers hopping with us each month! Welcome Liz! Up next is another talented and inspiring crafter, Marcy Denning from Canada.

Beautiful Baubles - Global Design Project Theme Challenge - GDP167

December 3, 2018
GDP167.jpg

It’s THEME week at the Global Design Project. Tis the Season! What are you doing to prep for your holidays? Making cards?, Neighbor gifts? Gift tags? SHOW US!

My card today features the Beautiful Baubles Stamp set and dies. It’s a has a bit of a messy watercolor look which I like. This look is easy to achieve. Heat emboss the ornament image in white emboss powder on watercolor paper and then paint the color.. The embossed lines will help keep the color within each shape. It will bleed a little if super wet but that’s ok, that gives it the messy look.

Ready to play? Check out the Global Design Project blog to see what the other designers have created for this challenge play along with us! Happy stamping. #gdp167

Alpine Adventure - Stamp Review Crew

December 2, 2018
Stamp Review Crew blog banner(2).png
Alpine Adventure (13 of 18).jpg

Welcome to the Alpine Adventure edition of Stamp Review Crew! We are showing you many ways you can use this stamp set (and the dies). Unfortunately the dies just barely sold out but many of these ideas can be recreated with the stamp set alone. If you already have the bundle - you are in luck! Lots of inspiration is in store for you.

Back in October I made quite a few projects with this set the were featured on Stampin’ Up’s facebook page. If interested you can see those ideas here.

What is the Stamp Review Crew? We are an international group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that gets together to do a blog hop on the first and third Monday of each month. For each hop we chose a single stamp set to feature. We have a blog with all of the hops archived. You can hop through any hop, any time. Click here to see all of the hops!

Thanks in advance for taking the time to comment. I love to hear from you!

Use your Stash! Specialty Paper Edition... I must admit I did a recent purge of paper and donated boxes and boxes to our local thrift store, so it was tricky to find "specialty" papers however I did happen to keep all colors of GLITTER and GLIMMER papers. This card was so simple to make. I choose some fun and bright glitter papers and cut into 1 inch strips for background. I pulled out the "Beautiful Butterfly" dies and altered the largest butterfly shape to create a full window opening to showcase all that glitter. Products you can still purchased from Stampin' Up! Banner Sayings Stamp set Three Banner Punch Basic White Cardstock I can't wait to see what papers my friends pulled out from their stashes for this challenge. UYS is a monthly instagram hop where my friends and I get crafty and use what we have on hand to create a project around a certain theme. Use those supplies! Next up is @simple_stamper - See all and follow along below. @bellestampinwithann @i.heart.stamps - that's me! @simple_stamper @simplyfairies_kimfee @vickiboucher @stampin_met_monique @narellefarrugia #useyourstash #papercraft #cardmaker #stampinup
