The Holiday Catalog sure saved my bacon this week as I prepared for a card club in Utah. I was struggling to come up with an idea and finally resorted to casing a project. There are a few subtle changes but overall it looks catalog ready! The stamp set is Tags & Tidings. Enjoy.

It’s the last day of September. High time I get my Halloween on. Check out this little 3x3 gift card. The elephant in a bat costume has to be one of the cutest Halloween images I’ve seen this season (from the Trick or Tweet stamp set). Love him. I created a simple 3x3 card to pair with a Halloween gift. I love how deep and saturated Rich Razzleberry looks with Gorgeous Grape, a perfect color choice for Halloween. The bats come from the Spooky Sweets stamp set.
Boy do we have a super fun challenge for you this week at TGIF Challenges. The challenge is to create and come up with your won background. I love a challenge that is so wide open to interpretation.
I created this fun HO HO HO watercolor background. It was fairly simple to make. First I wet the watercolor paper and created a Bermuda Bay watercolor wash with an Aqua Painter. When the paper was still wet I stamped the HO HO HO in Bermuda Bay ink onto the wash. The stamped image bleeds a bit in certain areas but remains crisp in others depending on how wet the watercolor paper was. I’m loving these results! You can see where I tried this technique again here on this dinosaur card.
The candy cane images come from the Candy Cane Season stamp set. These are stamped in Poppy Parade and punched out using the Candy Cane punch. These sweets are so cute and chunky!
