Waterfront card - Charlet Mallett, Stampin' Up!

Hello again and welcome to the Waterfront edition of Stamp Review Crew. I love this stamp set! It's so fun to stamp and play around with. I opted to create a holiday card. Does it feel holiday ish to you? While there isn't really snow on the trees the card feels a little like Christmas. I like the green with a little pop of red. This Merry card also features the Dashing Along Designer Series Paper.

Right now if you host a party with $250 USD in sales, you will earn the exclusive Dashing Along Designer Series Paper for FREE. This offer ends on September 30.

Sorry my post is so short (labor day weekend makes it rough), I hope this card inspired you!

Next up is Lou with more lovely inspiration! Thanks in advance for taking the time to comment. I love to hear from you!

What is the Stamp Review Crew? We are an international group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that gets together to do a blog hop on the first and third Monday of each month. For each hop we chose a single stamp set to feature. We have a blog with all of the hops archived. You can hop through any hop, any time. Click here to see all of the hops! Go to the specific post for this hop here.

TGIFC175 - TIC TAC TOE Challenge (Tropical Chic)

August 31, 2018
TGIFC175.jpg

Super quick post today, we are moving our oldest into his dorm and I really crammed to get a card created. Brevity is good.

Tic Tac Toe challenges are awesome. Are you a fan? I totally am. My card lines up the far right of this Tic Tac Toe board using flowers, negative space and thread. This card features the Tropical Chic stamp set. I'm pretty please with the negative space aspect on this card. I used the negative space of the leaf die cut to create a repeating background.  Fun right?

Are you ready to take the challenge? Need more inspiration first? Check out what the TGIFC crew has created over on the TGIF Challenge blog. Happy stamping!

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop - Alternates for Blissful Blooms

August 30, 2018

Welcome friends. Awesome news ... I've been asked to participate in the 'A Paper Pumpkin Thing' blog hop that happens monthly. Yay! I am super exited to share my take on Paper Pumpkin kits. What is this hop all about? Wait, what is Paper Pumpkin all about? Paper Pumpkin is a monthly subscription craft kit full of goodness from Stampin' Up! Every kit includes a stamp set, supplies, ink and projects instructions. The designers participating in this hop take the monthly kit and put their own spin on the projects providing alternate ideas for you and various ways on how to use the kit supplies. Fun, fun!

This month's kit is called Blissful Blooms. When I get my monthly box I usually make one set of the suggested projects exactly as shown. Once I check that off the list then I go to town and play with the remaining supplies. I tried to keep with the basic kit supplies but sometimes I add a few core items from my craft stash. On these cards I swapped up inks, added a few dies & embossing folders but otherwise you could make these using your kit supplies.

Blended Seasons - What Will You Stamp 183

August 27, 2018
Blended Seasons (5 of 5).jpg

I've been a little MIA on the What Will You Stamp front. It seems I haven't had many of the sets for the last few challenges. Ah well, that's how it goes sometimes.

The challenge set this week is Blended Seasons. I certainly have this set and have been using it a TON! You can see all of my Blended Seasons projects along with more projects from other Stampin' Up! Artisan Design team members on our special Blended Seasons Pinterest board here.

Today I am sharing two fall cards I've created with the set. There are two leaf images in the  set and I've opted to showcase on one each card. Do you like this set? If so, grab it this week as it will no longer be available after August 31st.

Now, off you go. Check out what the WWYS team has created using this set. Want to play along with us? Tag your projects #wwys183 . Happy Stamping!

Water & ink. I used water and classic ink to create this soft pastel card. Paper: watercolor paper. I used a variety of flower punches from my collection to create the multi-layered flowers. This card has so much dimension and is meant for hand delivery! 🤣 Use your stash! #stampinup #useyourstash #cardmaker #cardmakingreel

When I think of pastel I think watercolor. For this month our 'Use Your Stash' theme is PRETTY PASTEL. I pulled out the 'Good Greetings' stamp set and heat set the large greeting with white emboss powder. This greeting is so pretty. Then, I water painted a peachy color over the top for a soft & airy look. For the flowers I painted a few pink and peach multi-color washes and then punch out using various flower punches. The flower centers are irridescent rhinestones. Stampin' Up! products you can still purchase: Basic White cardstock, Fluid 100 watercolor Ink colors: Peach Pie, Pretty in Pink and Cloud Cover I can't wait to see what my friends pulled out from their stashes for this challenge. UYS is a monthly instagram hop where my friends and I get crafty and use what we have on hand to create a project around a certain theme. Use those supplies!
