Welcome back! It's DAY 2 of the On Stage Display projects blog hop. What did you think of DAY 1? I was super inspired! Sweet 16 card - Cake Soiree stamp set - Charlet Mallett - Stampin' Up!

Notice the ink technique on the yellow cake stamped image? This cake is a 2-step image (solid base and line art top piece) I swiped the solid base image across the ink pad to get a brushed look and then colored the top of the cake and the flowers in solid with a Stampin' Write Marker.

Hi guys! Welcome, welcome to DAY 1 of the On Stage 2017 display stamper blog hop. What is this hop all about? Demonstrators around the world applied and were selected by Stampin' Up! to create cards and projects using upcoming products from the 2018 Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogs. A Little Merry Card - Sketch Challenge #GDP114

HELLO & welcome to another Global Design Project challenge. This week we have an awesome sketch for you to follow. I just love sketch challenges because sometimes coming up with the layout of a card is the hardest part.

My card uses this sketch pretty literally. Look at these darling little holly berry and leaves! I liked them so much I created 6 to repeat in the grid. The paper holly leaves are cut from the Christmas Quilt Thinlets, and the red holly berry is created by me! Ha, kidding but turning Perfect Accents into shiny red berries is super easy to do with Stampin' Blends. I started with a white Perfect Accent left on the sheet. Do not remove from the sheet, it's so much easier to color first and then remove. Simply color the accent with the dark Cherry Cobbler Blend marker. Alcohol ink dries quickly and creates NO transfer mess.

Disclaimer: Using you Blends to color anything beyond paper may shorten the life of the marker. Be sure to take care, there is no need to push hard on the tip. Color the Perfect Accents lightly. Repeat coats as needed for the desired saturation.

A sweet card for a sweet friend! We are CASING the amazing @tinkermom85 this week @global_design_project - I love how Wendy stamped on patterned paper to add a quick pop of color. I took a similar approach and stamped the berries from the 'Filled with Sweetness' stamp set onto red patterned paper. The green stems were stamped directly onto Garden Green cardstock and then cut out and layered onto the red berries. Play along and tag your project #gdp544 The acronym CASE typically stands for Copy And Share Everything (or sometimes Copy And Selectively Edit). Water & ink. I used water and classic ink to create this soft pastel card. Paper: watercolor paper. I used a variety of flower punches from my collection to create the multi-layered flowers. This card has so much dimension and is meant for hand delivery! 🤣 Use your stash! #stampinup #useyourstash #cardmaker #cardmakingreel

When I think of pastel I think watercolor. For this month our 'Use Your Stash' theme is PRETTY PASTEL. I pulled out the 'Good Greetings' stamp set and heat set the large greeting with white emboss powder. This greeting is so pretty. Then, I water painted a peachy color over the top for a soft & airy look. For the flowers I painted a few pink and peach multi-color washes and then punch out using various flower punches. The flower centers are irridescent rhinestones. Stampin' Up! products you can still purchase: Basic White cardstock, Fluid 100 watercolor Ink colors: Peach Pie, Pretty in Pink and Cloud Cover I can't wait to see what my friends pulled out from their stashes for this challenge. Cute little chicks lined up in a row … I was eyeballing it to try my hand at stamp alignment with this new Stampin’ Positioner tool.
