Painted Harvest - Stamp Review Crew

Painted Harvest (2 of 9).jpg

Hello there! Welcome to another round of the Stamp Review Crew hop featuring Painted Harvest. By now you MUST have seen projects made with the Painted Harvest stamp set. It seems my Pinterest and Instagram feeds are full of awesome projects using this set.  This hop is full of MORE inspiration we cannot wait to share.

I got a little inky and technique'y with the two cards I'm sharing. The background on my first card turned out super cool and I'm not sure if I could replicate it. First I stamped a few of the flowers in Fresh Fig and Berry Burst ink onto watercolor paper. Then I spritzed the paper, so much so that the ink spread and bled together and the flowers almost disappeared. I let the paper dry and repeated the process once more. Once dry again I stamped a few flowers directly over where I had previously stamped the flowers.  As I look at the card I think this watercolor look kind of gives the background paper a soft focus feel. Flower bokeh? Not sure what to call it but I like it.

On this second card I stamped the flower in Berry Burst onto the watercolor paper and then spritz once from about 10 inches above. We made this card at this month's card club and no two cards were exactly alike and all were gorgeous! This card uses a few more supplies than the first version. These are listed below.

Thank you for stopping by. Next up is Mike Funke!

Grateful Theme Challenge #TGIFC134

November 17, 2017

Hey guys! It's a theme challenge over at the TGIF Challenges blog. This week theme is "Grateful" and is appropriately timed for those of us in the USA with Thanksgiving last approaching.

Let me tell you, I am sure grateful for you and this amazing stamping community. Thank you for your comments, love and support. Its been a wild couple of weeks and I count myself very lucky to be a part of this awesome Stampin' Up! and paper crafting community. I'm also grateful for the TGIF Challenges crew. I got to meet many of these ladies face to face in SLC last week and it was such a treat! They are such talented and genuinely nice people.

I'm sharing two cards today. My first card uses Pick a Pumpkin and the Painted Harvest stamp sets. I just realized the little acorn is no longer available for purchase (I hate it when I do that). Yikes. But you could easily swap out the for a little wooden leaf from the Touches of Nature embellishments if you wanted to recreate this card.

This fun pumpkin card uses the outside shape of the large pumpkin from the Pick a Pumpkin framelits to create the window. The stamped images from the the Labels to Love stamp set.

Play along with us and share your Grateful creations on the TGIF Challenges blog.I can't wait to see what you all create. Happy stamping!

Celebrate You - SWAPS!

Celebrate You TGIF Swap.jpg

Hip, Hip Hooray! Swapping is one the of the coolest Stampin' Up! traditions. The process of making and trading cards can be very rewarding. I participated in an organized swap with the TGIF crew at this past On Stage. Organized swaps have a set of parameters and set number of people to trade with. This swap required layers, accessories and using only annual catalog products. This is the card I created and every card I received in return was an absolute stunner.  I can't wait for the team to share their creations so you can see for yourself.

2018 Artisan Design Team! Who, me?!

November 13, 2017

You guys, I've been waiting to share some beyond exciting news!!! It's officially 1pm MT and the 'spoiler alert' has been lifted. I can safely share that I have the great honor of being selected to join the 2018 Stampin' Up! Artisan Design team. YIPPEEEEE! Becoming a member on this team has been a long time goal, and somehow it happened?! If you know me, you know I love to make cards and share them often (mostly here and instagram). I love our paper crafting community: the support, friendship, and how we all share ideas and promote the LOVE of stamping and card making. And now, I get to share it as a member of the Stampin' Up! 2018 Artisan Design team. I am so humbled and excited.

Check out this gorgeous gift box that all of the Artisans were awarded. Included inside was a beautiful silver charm bracelet and a personalized Artisan name stamp.

A sweet card for a sweet friend! We are CASING the amazing @tinkermom85 this week @global_design_project - I love how Wendy stamped on patterned paper to add a quick pop of color. I took a similar approach and stamped the berries from the 'Filled with Sweetness' stamp set onto red patterned paper. The green stems were stamped directly onto Garden Green cardstock and then cut out and layered onto the red berries. Play along and tag your project #gdp544 The acronym CASE typically stands for Copy And Share Everything (or sometimes Copy And Selectively Edit). It refers to finding inspiration in another person's card design-such as layout, colors, or techniques, and recreating it, either exactly or with minor changes. #stampinup #filledwithsweetness #cardmaker #cardmakingideas
Water & ink. I used water and classic ink to create this soft pastel card. Paper: watercolor paper. I used a variety of flower punches from my collection to create the multi-layered flowers. This card has so much dimension and is meant for hand delivery! 🤣 Use your stash! #stampinup #useyourstash #cardmaker #cardmakingreel

When I think of pastel I think watercolor. For this month our 'Use Your Stash' theme is PRETTY PASTEL. I pulled out the 'Good Greetings' stamp set and heat set the large greeting with white emboss powder. This greeting is so pretty. Then, I water painted a peachy color over the top for a soft & airy look. For the flowers I painted a few pink and peach multi-color washes and then punch out using various flower punches. The flower centers are irridescent rhinestones. Stampin' Up! products you can still purchase: Basic White cardstock, Fluid 100 watercolor Ink colors: Peach Pie, Pretty in Pink and Cloud Cover I can't wait to see what my friends pulled out from their stashes for this challenge. UYS is a monthly instagram hop where my friends and I get crafty and use what we have on hand to create a project around a certain theme. Use those supplies! Cute little chicks lined up in a row … I was eyeballing it to try my hand at stamp alignment with this new Stampin’ Positioner tool. My free form is not perfect, but it doesn’t matter in the end when you mount your card crooked. 🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥 🤣 Stamp set is called Easter Basket and it’s on the last chance list.
