Something for BABY cards.

Something for BABY cards.

Something for Baby Cards & Tags

September 19, 2014

The last of the projects we made this month for club is a set of matching baby cards and gift tags.  Each card was slightly customized for gender however either design works well for any new baby.

These cards and tags are fairly self explanatory however the onesie was first cut out with the onesie framelit and then the paper was embossed with the large polka dot pattern.

I've seen similar card ideas floating around and I love being inspired by others and putting my own little twist into the project. This version is a 4x4 card and features the Something to Say stamp set and Lullaby designer paper. I used the leftover card stock and positive onesie shape to create the tag. No waste!

Blending Brush fail … but I made this card work in the end. The paper on the Specialty Embossed Cards has a little tooth and I could not get a smooth blend. Enter operation cover it all up. Haha. This blue and purple winter card uses tidbits from the Calm & Bright kit. I used the negative shape from the fir die cut to create a stencil and layered from there. Blend, stencil, stamp. Colors are Highlander Heather, Cloud Cover, & Lost Lagoon. @global_design_project #gdp525 #stampinup #calmandbright
Masking and stamping! On this card I mask with tape, blend ink, then stamp, then stencil, and stamp again to create a layered scene. It’s so satisfying to remove the masking tape… always a fun reveal.
