Festival of Trees - Merry Little Tag

October 10, 2014

I'm back with another swap to share that I create for this coming weekends Fall Stampin' Event in St. George. Here I created a small tag using the Festival of Trees stamp set, tree punch, and the heavy weight Under the Tree designer series paper. Super simple and easy.

One cool thing about photopolymer stamps is the ability to manipulate the stamp image. On this project I curved the verses and then cut around to the curve to make the banner.  I tried a similar technique on this Sweet Moments Feather Card from a few weeks ago.

Merry stamp phrase has been curved on the block, and then stamped to create this banner shape.

Masking and stamping! On this card I mask with tape, blend ink, then stamp, then stencil, and stamp again to create a layered scene. It’s so satisfying to remove the masking tape… always a fun reveal.
