Whale Done - Stamp Review Crew

Hello friends! Welcome to the Whale Done Edition of Stamp Review Crew.

My card today is kind of quirky. The background is watercolored and then stamped with the THANKS A TON greeting. The Pattern Paper has been colored to match.

What is the Stamp Review Crew? We are an international group of paper crafters that get together to feature and review a single Stampin’ Up! stamp set on the first and third Monday of each month. All of our previous stamp set reviews are archived. Click here to see all of the hops!

Global Design Project - GDP287 - Whale Done

Hello and welcome to this week’s Global Design Project challenge. We have a THEME challenge: By the Sea. There are so many great water/ocean stamp sets and tools lately. Do you have a favorite? I’m using the Whale Done stamp and punch bundle along with many shades of blue inks. This is as close to a one layer card as I get. Lol.

To create the opening for the greeting stamp I used old washi tape to mask the cardstock and then stamped on top of the mask and removed when finished. You can also create a quick mask using a post it note.

Like the white on white look? I used the Subtle embossing folder on the card base and popped the white stamped cardstock on top of that. The Subtle 3D embossing folder is one of my favorites and it is retiring. SAD FACE. This folder will retire at the end of April and is available now while supplies last.

Global Design Project - GDP251 - Whale Done

Hello friends! Welcome to another Global Design Project challenge. This week we are playing with the theme aquatic. Basically anything water related. I pulled together this card using the Whale Done stamp set.

I like how this card uses unusual colors to create the ocean scene. The seaweed rising up from the bottom is actually from the Jellyfish image in the stamp set (the tentacles flipped upside down make great seaweed). FUN!

Whale Done Baby card - Charlet Mallett, Stampin’ Up!

Hello friends! Welcome to another Global Design Project challenge. This week we are playing with color. This combo is so sweet and feels a little like a nursery to me. I made a fun new baby card using these color and the Whale Done stamp set and punch bundle.

The background on this card was created using Fluid 100 watercolor paper and Pool Party ink. I love stamping on watercolor paper.
