TGIF Challenges 299 - Birch Wood and Sweet Strawberry

Hello friends! This week the TGIF challenges team is playing around with Background stamps. Do you have a favorite? I LOVE background stamps and have so many. I collect them. Lol. My project today features the Birch Wood background stamp.

I’ve stamped the Birch wood in a white ink on Crumb Cake cardstock. The strawberry images are from the Sweet Strawberry stamp and punch bundle.

Tip: See the little flower centers? These were created by 1. coloring each flower center with a Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend. 2. Adding a small dab of fine tip glue adhesive to the flower center. The glue dries hard, clear and raised creating a super fun embellishment.

A white wedding card with a little black tie! This card is so much prettier in person. I had such a difficult time trying to photograph the white irridescent foil on the Basic White Cardstock. I used layers of white ribbons, vellum, cardstock, and foil to create this look. Card created for @stampinfancyfriday B&W challenge. I’m not a blending brush expert. Ink blending takes patience, and time but when you stamp on top of it, you can hardly see the mistakes… ha! Spooky trick. I used a circle punch and post it note to create a simple mask and set to blending a moody night sky. Teal or purple?! Both are great for a spooky background. Colors used: Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock Fresh Freesia and Berry Burst I can't decide if I have a favorite? I used hot foil to create this card and a second card with the leftover negative foil from the hot foil die. Two for one! There’s something just so satisfying about peeling the foil away from the card stock. Foil is Light Pink.
