TGIF March Madness challenge

EEE! It's almost the end of March and that means the end of Saleabration. Today and tomorrow are the last two days you can earn these limited time products.

Amazing You - What Will You Stamp

Woohoo! Back with another project featuring my favorite Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration stamp set, Amazing You. This stamp set us super eclectic and includes some really cool elements, hard to choose a favorite. I really can't get enough of this set and am excited to see what the What will You Stamp team has created. Check out the WWYS blog to see more projects using this set and play along!

How it's made: This card includes a few fun layers featuring different techniques. The card base id made from Blushing Bride cardstock.

The white layer uses the diamond mask from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks pack and a mixture of Blushing Bride ink and water misted from with a Stampin' Spritzer. The color has been spritzed onto a sheet of Whisper White Card stock to achieve a speckled and modeled look. A watercolor paper would of achieved a more blended look. I misted more ink toward the bottom and less up top to achieve that ombré effect.

The second layer features the sun rays image stamped in Versamark and then heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

3rd layer: The flowers are stamped in Versmark and also heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then the flowers and leaves were watercolored in shades of Melon Mambo and Wild Wasabi. The 'Celebrate' sentiment is stamped in Wild Wasabi.

The card is then topped off with a few Pearl accents and some white Baker's twine. A full list of supplies is shown at the end of this post.

Amazing You - Global Design Project - Sale-a-bration

A little about my card ... The set I choose to feature today is called Amazing You. After playing with most of the SALE-A-BRATION products I've found this stamp set to be my most favorite. I stamped the flowers in Versamark ink on watercolor paper and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. Next I waterecolored the flowers using shades of Melon Mambo Classic ink and an aqua painter. I'm so into white embossing powder at the moment. I love the look of white on white. The 'celebrate' sentiment was super easy to stamp and align in a vertical row using the Stamparatus (Stampin' Up!'s new stamp alignment tool available in July).
