HELLO friends! Welcome to the Creating Kindness Around the World Hop. CREATING KINDNESS: We are a group of paper crafters from around the world who have come together to inspire you to create kindness through cardmaking and paper.

Meant to Be Heart Pop Up card - Charlet Mallett, Stampin’ Up!

Meant to Be Heart Pop Up card - Charlet Mallett, Stampin’ Up!

Our theme this month is Fancy Folds. I think any paper with a fold is pretty fancy because it instantly becomes a card. Ha! However for this hop I decided to add a little folded flair on the inside of my card. I’ve always loved pop-up books and interactive cards so I tried to incorporate a little 3D action to the card interior.

This little love note measures 4.25 x 5.5 when open and 4.25 x 2.75 when closed. This card features the Meant to Be bundle (stamp and dies). I used one of the larger heart dies from this bundle to create the pop up heart. I did this by only die cutting the middle section of the die so that both sides of the heart remain attached to the paper. Hard to explain in text. You can check out my video below for specific instructions.

Ready for more? Our Guest Designer this month is the super talented Sue and I am very excited to see what folded magic she has come up with for this hop.

Stamping a scene … I always marvel at how quickly a project can come together when stamping. Sometimes I like to stamp on wet paper as it can make the ink bleed and blur. For this card I built a collage scene with a bunch of stamps and layered with die cut shapes from the Queen Bee bundle. 🐝 #stampinup #cardmaker #cardmaking #cardmakingreels #gdp564
