Ray of Light - Stamp Review Crew

June 19, 2022

Hello friends! Welcome to the Ray of Light Edition of Stamp Review Crew. The moment I saw this background stop i knew I needed to add it to my collection. I love the design and can see it used with so many sets. I’ve taken a literal approach and paired it with the Lighthouse Point bundle. I love the the bright rays are all beaming from the lighthouse. I stamp the image in Versamark on Daffodil Delight and then heat set with clear emboss powder together that tone on tone and raised ink effect

What is the Stamp Review Crew? We are an international group of paper crafters that get together to feature and review a single Stampin’ Up! stamp set on the first and third Monday of each month. All of our previous stamp set reviews are archived. Click here to see all of the hops!

Ready for more inspiration using this stamp set? Next up is Holly. Be sure to go through the hop to see what ALL my talented friends have created using this set. Thanks in advance for taking the time to comment. I love to hear from you.

Global Design Project - GDP346 Sketch challenge using Full of Love

June 6, 2022

The Full of Love stamp set is so darling and super fun to color. I’ve stamped the large flower cluster image in Tuxedo Memento Black ink and colored using Stampin’ Blends. I’ve done the same with the small flowers. All have been cut (using my brother scan n cut machine) and arranged on the card flowing the sketch. The background has a hint of Pool Party Blended onto the white cardstock with a blending brush. Small flowers have been stamped onto the blended background in versamark and heat set using white emboss powder.

Follow the @global_design_project instagram account! We are all so impressed with all of the weekly card submissions for the GDP challenges. Seriously impressed. You all are so talented. Want to play along? Details below.

A sweet card for a sweet friend! We are CASING the amazing @tinkermom85 this week @global_design_project - I love how Wendy stamped on patterned paper to add a quick pop of color. I took a similar approach and stamped the berries from the 'Filled with Sweetness' stamp set onto red patterned paper. The green stems were stamped directly onto Garden Green cardstock and then cut out and layered onto the red berries. Play along and tag your project #gdp544 The acronym CASE typically stands for Copy And Share Everything (or sometimes Copy And Selectively Edit). It refers to finding inspiration in another person's card design-such as layout, colors, or techniques, and recreating it, either exactly or with minor changes. #stampinup #filledwithsweetness #cardmaker #cardmakingideas
Water & ink. I used water and classic ink to create this soft pastel card. Paper: watercolor paper. I used a variety of flower punches from my collection to create the multi-layered flowers. This card has so much dimension and is meant for hand delivery! 🤣 Use your stash! #stampinup #useyourstash #cardmaker #cardmakingreel

When I think of pastel I think watercolor. For this month our 'Use Your Stash' theme is PRETTY PASTEL. I pulled out the 'Good Greetings' stamp set and heat set the large greeting with white emboss powder. This greeting is so pretty. Then, I water painted a peachy color over the top for a soft & airy look. For the flowers I painted a few pink and peach multi-color washes and then punch out using various flower punches. The flower centers are irridescent rhinestones. Stampin' Up! products you can still purchase: Basic White cardstock, Fluid 100 watercolor Ink colors: Peach Pie, Pretty in Pink and Cloud Cover I can't wait to see what my friends pulled out from their stashes for this challenge. Cute little chicks lined up in a row … I was eyeballing it to try my hand at stamp alignment with this new Stampin’ Positioner tool. My free form is not perfect, but it doesn’t matter in the end when you mount your card crooked. 🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥 🤣 Stamp set is called Easter Basket and it’s on the last chance list.
