Global Design Project - GDP290 - Sketch challenge using Celebrate Sunflowers
Hello friends. Happy May and welcome to this week’s Global Design Project challenge. It’s been a month and now time for another sketch challenge. This sketch is a traditional sized card in portrait format with a circle focal point.
I pulled out the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp and die bundle to create this sunny card. I even dusted off the old sewing machine to add stitching.
The Sunflower has been coloring using the light shades of Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo and Polished Pink Stampin’ Blends - Polished Pink is a new SU inColor available May 4. Card supplies are listed below.

Simply Succulents - Charlet Mallett, Stampin’ Up!
Hello friends! Welcome to the Simply Succulents Stamp Review Crew Hop.
I adore this stamp set as much as I love succulents. And I love succulents so much I recently subscribed to a mystery succulent box that will send you three new plants every month. Thats a lot of love and succulents!
These cards might be called “kitchen sink” cards. I have basically thrown every product sitting on my desk at them. Since we are at the end of the catalog cycle I figure it’s fair game to use up all my products.
Both of my featured cards incorporate the Flowering Cactus Product Medley (refill). I found the papers in the medley coordinate so well with this stamp set.
This first THANKS card is all about PURPLE POSY. I’m giving this retiring InColor a last bit of love. The Flowering Cactus paper dictated the color scheme and I went with it. The mesh die cut in the background is trimmed from the Forever Gold Laser-Cuts (I used the white backside).

My second card used features this darling ALOE plant. I created this plant by cutting two aloe plants from Just Jade cardstock. I flipped one image over and arranged the two together in the pot. I added little highlights with a white gel pen.
On both cards the pot has been stamped in Cinnamon Cider ink on Fluid 100 watercolor paper and then watercolored.
Now … i told you I love this bundle. At the end of this post are more card creations. FYI - Simply Succulents is sticking around for another year so if it’s not in your arsenal yet you still have time.
What is the Stamp Review Crew? We are an international group of paper crafters that get together to feature and review a single Stampin’ Up! stamp set on the first and third Monday of each month. All of our previous stamp set reviews are archived. Click here to see all of the hops!
Ready for more inspiration using this stamp set? Next up is Mike. Be sure to go through the hop to see what ALL my talented friends have created using this set. Thanks in advance for taking the time to comment. I love to hear from you.
