Global Design Project - GDP290 - Sketch challenge using Celebrate Sunflowers

May 3, 2021

Hello friends. Happy May and welcome to this week’s Global Design Project challenge. It’s been a month and now time for another sketch challenge. This sketch is a traditional sized card in portrait format with a circle focal point.

I pulled out the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp and die bundle to create this sunny card. I even dusted off the old sewing machine to add stitching.

The Sunflower has been coloring using the light shades of Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo and Polished Pink Stampin’ Blends - Polished Pink is a new SU inColor available May 4. Card supplies are listed below.

Celebrate Sunflowers - Stamp Review Crew

August 16, 2020
Stamp Review Crew blog banner(2).png

Hello and welcome to the Celebrate Sunflower Edition of SRC. I’ve really enjoyed playing around with this bundle of products. My card today is super simple and almost a 1 layer card. I’ve stamped the small sunflower image in BumbleBee and colored in using various Stampin’ Blends. The greeting and ribbon are popped on top to complete this quick card.

I had to keep it simple today because my craft room is all in boxes. I am slowly unpacking and digging out. Moving a craft room is the worst. Lol.

What is the Stamp Review Crew? We are an international group of paper crafters that get together to feature and review a single Stampin’ Up! stamp set on the first and third Monday of each month. All of our previous stamp set reviews are archived. Click here to see all of the hops!

Ready for more inspiration using this stamp set? Next up is Kelly. Be sure to go through the hop to see what ALL my talented friends have created using this set. Thanks in advance for taking the time to comment. I love to hear from you.

Below are a few other cards I’ve created using this bundle.

This blue and purple winter card uses tidbits from the Calm & Bright kit. I used the negative shape from the fir die cut to create a stencil and layered from there. Blend, stencil, stamp. Colors are Highlander Heather, Cloud Cover, & Lost Lagoon. @global_design_project #gdp525 #stampinup #calmandbright
Masking and stamping! On this card I mask with tape, blend ink, then stamp, then stencil, and stamp again to create a layered scene. It’s so satisfying to remove the masking tape… always a fun reveal. Sending Joy! I created this wintry scene using the Calm and Bright card kit. I love the look of white on white. I pulled in some gold embossing and Crumb Cake to balance out all that white. This CAS kit has tons of cute and tiny elements (yippee for tiny stamps) that are perfect for creating an adorable little holiday scene. 166461 Card created for @global_design_project BRRR theme. #gdp523 #stampinup #cardmaker #cardmaking #cardmakersofinstagram #cardmakingreels #madewithmine
