Gnome for the Holidays and Warm Hugs - Charlet Mallett, Stampin’ Up!

Hello and welcome to the Gnome for the Holidays Edition of the Stamp Review Crew.

What is the Stamp Review Crew? We are an international group of paper crafters that get together to feature and review a single Stampin’ Up! stamp set on the first and third Monday of each month. All of our previous stamp set reviews are archived. Click here to see all of the hops!

Gnomes… Love them or hate them? I am a big fan of these little characters. They bring a smile to my face and I hope this card brings a smile to yours. I paired the Gnome for the Holidays stamp set with the Warm Hugs stamp set. The little mugs and candy canes in the Warm Hugs set are the perfect size for the little Gnomes and the Gnomes were just begging for cocoa. As my friend Cindy says “Why have one hot cocoa when you can have two?!” So true.

This card also features a fun new product sneak peak. You may not notice it at first … See it? The nice little blend of color in the circles behind the Gnomes? You guess it. Stampin’ Up! will be selling bending brushes in January and beyond! Woohoo, about time. I’m super excited to use this tool more.

Beware: to recreate this card you will need a little time and a lot of fussy cutting and coloring. I crafted this card while watching a cheesy but heartfelt holiday flick. Another perfect combo! crafting and Christmas movies! Happy Holidays.

TGIF Challenges: TGIFC293 - Color Challenge using Snowman Season

December 4, 2020
293.jpg
IMG_9173.jpg

TGIFC293 - Friday Challenge time! This week we are playing with soft blues and purples: Smoky Slate, Balmy Blue and Highland Heather. I immediately thought of a winter scene when I saw these colors. My card today also features the Snowman Season stamp set.

Tip: To create this watercolor wash background I wet an entire piece of Fluid 100 watercolor paper and then dropped in a small amount of each color. Then I tipped the paper back and forth to help the colors flow into each other and create this soft multi-colored sky. The snowflakes are stamped onto the background in versamark and then heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Check out the TGIFChallenges blog for more details and inspiration for this challenge. Tag your projects #tgifc293 so the TGIF Challenges design team are sure to see them.

Hello! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve has the chance to play along with the Creating Kindness team. I had to close out the 2020 year with one last hop!

This month is Designers Choice theme. I created a peaceful winter scene card in Crumb Cake. I sponged white ink onto the birch trees for a little added dimension, I’m sure my CK friends have fantastic projects to share as well and I cannot wait to see them..

Every month we invite someone to stamp with us. Our guest this month is Jan Clothier and I can’t wait to see what she has created along with all of my other friends. Jan is up next on this hop. The full link up can be found below. Thanks for stopping by.

I adore cards with a floating backgrounds. They are so pretty! Here is a peek at how I created. First, I cut, colored, and assembled bunch of daffodil flowers. I popped up the flowers using dimensionals and arranged them around the greeting, trimming any excess off from around the edges. #stampinup #cardmaker #cardmaking cardmakingreels

I love this color and paired it with Lemon Lolly & Lemon Lime Twist for a fun, fresh look. Card created for the @stampinfancyfriday color challenge. The stamp set is called 'Sending Salutations'. The darling little daffodil die is from the 'Easter Basket' dies (now retired). This card design was inspired by @martinmayhem - I love how he takes an element and creates an entire floating backgorund. #stampinup #sendingsalutations #crispcanteloupe #cardmaker #cardmaking
I’m crushing over this Eyelet Blooms Die. What a beautiful pattern! I used a die brush to remove all the little negative cut pieces. So satisfying! Colors: Bubble Bath, Strawberry Slush & Granny Apple Green. #stampinup #cardmaker #cardmakersofinstagram #cardmakingreels #gdp545
We have a new baby in the neighborhood and so I crafted this sweet welcome card using the 'Notes of Spring' stamp set and 'Eyelets Blooms' die. Both products are a screaming deal at 5$ each with qualifying purchase. Get in my cart! Ha. I'm a sucker
