Perfectly Plaid - Stamp Review Crew

November 29, 2020
Stamp Review Crew blog banner(2).png

Welcome to the Perfectly Plaid Edition of Stamp Review Crew. This set is a trusted favorite and I was glad to see it stick around in the Stampin’ Up! catalog for another year.

The card I create today is simple! The tree punch shape is the star of the show. The ‘love and joy’ sentiment are taken from the larger greeting in this set ‘May this special season be wrapped in love and joy’. It’s easy to use parts of stamp greetings, simply ink up the portion of the stamp you want to use. You can do this with markers or by taping off the words you don’t want to use when inking. Just remember to remove the inked tape before you stamp.

What is the Stamp Review Crew? We are an international group of paper crafters that get together to feature and review a single Stampin’ Up! stamp set on the first and third Monday of each month. All of our previous stamp set reviews are archived. Click here to see all of the hops!

Ready for more inspiration using this stamp set? Next up is Jay. Be sure to go through the hop to see what ALL my talented friends have created using this set. Thanks in advance for taking the time to comment. I love to hear from you.

TGIF Challenges: TGIFC291 - Theme: Thankful

TGIFC291 - Friday Challenge time! How about a cup of THANKS? I created another coffee card, this time for the Thankful theme challenge the TGIF Challenges. This is fun way to say thank you in card format. The stamp set is called Press On.

Tip: See corrugated cup hand protector? I created those simple embossed score lines using the Simply Scored scoring tool and stylus. To get a perfect fit when layering paper is to score the paper first, then stamp the image onto that paper and then cut out.

Check out the TGIFChallenges blog for more details and inspiration for this challenge. Tag your projects #tgifc291 so the TGIF Challenges design team are sure to see them.

MMMmmmm, coffee. Do you have a favorite warm or hot drink? I love them all but Coffeys is my favorite. This encouragement card uses the Press On Stamp set and will be a great card to give with a coffee gift card.

I adore cards with a floating backgrounds. They are so pretty! Here is a peek at how I created. First, I cut, colored, and assembled bunch of daffodil flowers. I popped up the flowers using dimensionals and arranged them around the greeting, trimming any excess off from around the edges. #stampinup #cardmaker #cardmaking cardmakingreels

I love this color and paired it with Lemon Lolly & Lemon Lime Twist for a fun, fresh look. Card created for the @stampinfancyfriday color challenge. The stamp set is called 'Sending Salutations'. The darling little daffodil die is from the 'Easter Basket' dies (now retired). This card design was inspired by @martinmayhem - I love how he takes an element and creates an entire floating backgorund. #stampinup #sendingsalutations #crispcanteloupe #cardmaker #cardmaking
I’m crushing over this Eyelet Blooms Die. What a beautiful pattern! I used a die brush to remove all the little negative cut pieces. So satisfying! Colors: Bubble Bath, Strawberry Slush & Granny Apple Green. #stampinup #cardmaker #cardmakersofinstagram #cardmakingreels #gdp545
We have a new baby in the neighborhood and so I crafted this sweet welcome card using the 'Notes of Spring' stamp set and 'Eyelets Blooms' die. Both products are a screaming deal at 5$ each with qualifying purchase. Get in my cart! Ha. I'm a sucker
