Global Design Project - GDP251 - Whale Done

July 27, 2020
gdp 251.png

Hello friends! Welcome to another Global Design Project challenge. This week we are playing with the theme aquatic. Basically anything water related. I pulled together this card using the Whale Done stamp set.

I like how this card uses unusual colors to create the ocean scene. The seaweed rising up from the bottom is actually from the Jellyfish image in the stamp set (the tentacles flipped upside down make great seaweed). FUN!

Jar of Flowers - Stamp Review Crew

July 19, 2020
Stamp Review Crew blog banner(2).png

Welcome to the Jar of Flowers Editions of SRC. This is a super fun bundle of products. I love the look of canning jars as flower vases. I also move the look of painted canning jars and used that as the inspiration for my card.

I wanted the jar on my card to be Pool Party. I didn’t want to include all of the shading on the jar so I used a stampin’ write marker to only color the outline of the jar.

The greeting on the jar is from the Many Mates stamp set. The Many Mates is clear mount and so it is a little hard to align inside the jar image without a stamp alignment tool. Quick tip … Stamp the greeting first, then overlay the jar (photopolymer) onto of the greeting for perfect placement.

What is the Stamp Review Crew? We are an international group of paper crafters that get together to feature and review a single Stampin’ Up! stamp set on the first and third Monday of each month. All of our previous stamp set reviews are archived. Click here to see all of the hops!

Ready for more inspiration using this stamp set? Next up is Jay.

Be sure to go through the hop to see what ALL my talented friends have created using this set. Thanks in advance for taking the time to comment. I love to hear from you.

I adore cards with a floating backgrounds. They are so pretty! Here is a peek at how I created. First, I cut, colored, and assembled bunch of daffodil flowers. I popped up the flowers using dimensionals and arranged them around the greeting, trimming any excess off from around the edges. #stampinup #cardmaker #cardmaking cardmakingreels
What's old is new again... I'm so excited for the return of the color Crisp Canteloupe. It's a "new" InColor for 2026-28. Woohoo! I love this color and paired it with Lemon Lolly & Lemon Lime Twist for a fun, fresh look. Card created fo

I love this color and paired it with Lemon Lolly & Lemon Lime Twist for a fun, fresh look. Card created for the @stampinfancyfriday color challenge. The stamp set is called 'Sending Salutations'. The darling little daffodil die is from the 'Easter Basket' dies (now retired). This card design was inspired by @martinmayhem - I love how he takes an element and creates an entire floating backgorund. #stampinup #sendingsalutations #crispcanteloupe #cardmaker #cardmaking
I’m crushing over this Eyelet Blooms Die. What a beautiful pattern! I used a die brush to remove all the little negative cut pieces. So satisfying! Colors: Bubble Bath, Strawberry Slush & Granny Apple Green. #stampinup #cardmaker #cardmakersofinstagram #cardmakingreels #gdp545
