This card features all sorts of fun products from the January to June catalog. Many of these beauties are retiring in a few short weeks. The stamp set I’ve used on this card is called Peaceful Moments.

Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop - My Wonderful Family Alternative

Hello and welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Thing monthly blog hop. This hop is all creating and sharing alternate products for the current Paper Pumpkin kit. This month’s Paper Pumpkin kit is called ‘Wonderful Family’.

I’ve made two alternate cards using the supplies from the kit (Father’s Day card and a birthday card). I have added additional ink, cardstock, and the ‘Well Written’ dies to create these new card ideas.

Card 1 - Fun tip: The Father’s Day card uses the negative shape of the leaves to create a stencil. I sponged ink to create a subtle shadow for the die cut leaves.

Card 2 - Fun Tip: Stamp the tree leaves twice (once on top and then flip and stamp for the bottom) to create a full oval blossom. This Petal Pink Blossom reminds me a little bit of a Hydrangea, a nice flower to have a few butterflies around.

Global Design Project - GDP238 - Sketch Challenge: A Wish for Everything

Painted in Purple! I took this sketch from this weeks Global Design Project challenge and painted a purple gradient striped background using Highland Heather. Each stripe a little lighter than the last. It’s not perfect but I like the effect.

The sentiment stamp set and dies are from the A Wish for Everything bundle. The flower and leaf stamp are from the Timeless Tropical stamp set.

Mother’s Day is only 2 weeks away (in the U.S.), I’m getting ready to pop a few cards in the mail.
