Bike Ride - Stamp Review Crew

Welcome to the Bike Ride edition of Stamp Review Crew. I really love this stamp set, do you? This set has served me well and I have created some fun projects with it. Stampin’ Up! has decided that this set will be discontinued on June 2. I’ve posted many of the projects that I’ve made with this set. Consider it a tribute. here’s a fond farewell … If you love it get it now!

My new project today is this cute pink card graduation card. The Bike Ride set is a BUILDER stamp set with so many images to stamp a BIKE scene. However the set includes ONLY images. For the sentiment I’ve paired the set with the new (coming June 4) Hot Air Balloon set called ‘Above the Clouds’. This card also features another NEW PRODUCT SNEAK: the Stitched Nested Label dies. TGIF Challenges Inspiration Challenge - TGIFC209

Hello friends! Welcome to this our TGIF Challenge. This week we are playing with Sepia tones. #tgifc209 . I pulled together some shades of browns and brightened it up a bit with a little white embossing powder.

Little details: Each fern has been heat embosses and then I colored a little down the leaf spine to give it more contrast. Not sure how successful this look is but I gave it a shot. I “aged” the corners and edge of the paper a bit to give a little texture.

SNEAK PEEK: The stamp artwork come from the new DAISY set, called: See that hint of lace? It’s new too. All available June 4th from Stampin’ Up!

Graduation Cards - Fancy Friday Blog Hop

Hello friends! There are so many reasons to make a card and to send a card. This month I am getting ready for Graduation season. Our theme for this month is: “Create a project of your choice for any family member”. There are quite a few talented kiddos that need a little gradation recognition.

SNEAK PEEK ALERT! I am using a few new products that are not available until June 4th. Don’t be sad. You can turn ANY card into a graduation card by adding a cap and diploma. Or just a cap! Create a cap quickly with the Tailored Tag punch and Story Label punch (available now). It’s super easy.

1. Punch out Tag shape.

2. Punch diamond shape

3. Punch Story Label, trim off end.

4. Assemble cap, use dimensionals for height.

1. Punch out the Tailored Tag label shape.

2. Insert tailored tag shape into the punch again and punch out a smaller diamond shape.

3. Punch out the Story Label shape. Trim off one end to create the cap base.

4. Assemble as shown on the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals, a brad, and tassel of choice.

5. Create a tassel with fringed paper or frayed twine.

Bloom and Grow - Graduation card - Charlet Mallett, Stampin’ Up!

The ‘Let’s Celebrate You’ first card SNEAK PEEKS three fun NEW products. First it showcases the Bloom and Grow stamp set and dies, this is beautiful set with larger verses and beautiful florals that are perfect for coloring. Second sneak is one of the new InColors: Terracotta Tile. This is a coral color that is a little deeper and dirtier than Calypso Coral. I love it! And, third is the layering Stitched Nested Label dies.

More SNEAKS: This card features another new stamp set called ‘Above the Clouds’. This set has a coordinating hot air balloon punch. The sentiments in this set are perfect for graduation. I created another cap to top off the hot air balloon. This card introduces another new InColor: Seaside Spray. This pale gray blue has just a hint of light purple tones. It’s soft and calming color.

Sometimes a kit comes along and everything you make with it is super cute - this is that kit! Be on the look out for refills.

I love the gift giving idea of this kit, so my alternates this month play off that idea. I created the original gift as recommended and included 6 cards (instead of 9) in the card box. I then used the supplies for the last three projects to make two additional gift sets.

Set #1: I created four 3x3 note cards and packed them inside a mini pizza box with a matching belly band. By pulling in basic card stock I was able to trim up the note cards and use the patterns and embellishments to create cards similar in style. I added some mini square envelopes that I stamped on to finish up the set.

Set #2: The stamp set in this kit is amazing. Specifically the flower. It’s gorgeous stamped on it’s own or watercolored. I love the look of the style of stamp (Distinktive) when it is softened and watercolored. I stamped and played around to create three 3x5 note cards and paired with the leftover kit envelopes. All are packaged in a cello bag.
