Butterfly Gala - Stamp Review Crew

Hello! We are showcasing the Butterfly Gala stamp set for this edition of the Stamp Review. Get excited people, there are over 19 of us participating. This will be a giant BUTTERFLY filled hop. Loads of inspiration ahead.

A couple of weeks ago I started to color a background with the various butterflies from the stamp set and then set aside not sure how I wanted to use it. Do you ever do that? Start something and then becomes stumped? I guess I just needed a couple of weeks for my brain to soak because the card came together so quickly when I pulled it out and used it to create this bright card for our hop today.

All coloring had been created with Stampin’ Blends. It was fun to play around and try different color combos and layers of colors. Each butterfly is unique.

The Blends Colors used are Lovely Lipstick, Flirty Flamingo and Pineapple Punch. I’m loving how Pineapple Punch and Flirty Flamingo created a coral color when blended together.

I added a few embellishments from the Occasions catalog and am super pleased with the results. It’s a bright and butterfly filled card. A full list of card supplies can be found below.

Double Layout - Scrapbook Sunday Blog Hop - February

Welcome back to another Scrapbook Sunday blog hop. This event features a team of Stampin' Up! scrapbookers that blog hop the 3rd Sunday of every month and share exclusively scrapbooking ideas using Stampin' Up! products. Please note that we will be shirting to the second Sunday of the Month starting in March.

I did not post or scrapbook last month and you all may be wondering how my book for my Grandma was received. Well, after compiling, I decided it still needed pages. Lol. It’s not done. So I’m continuing to create pages for that book in hopes that I can have it full and ready by June.

The theme for this month is double layout. I usually only create single pages so this was a fun challenge. I used a piece of paper to tie the two pages together. I first created the right side page and then added the left. Not sure if that’s the best way to create a double layout but it’s where I started. I wanted to showcase the photos in a filmstrip so I created one from paper.

Purple is my Grandma’s favorite color and she often wears purple so this light purple sheet from the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Papers was a great base layer. I have cut out and colored the a few butterflies from the paper using Stampin’ Blends to match the colors in the photos.

Notice the super thick and shiny die cut word? This has created by die cutting and layering four sheets of black card stock. Then I dipped in Versamark and heat embossed the top layer with black emboss powder for the shine. A little time consuming but makes for a nice statement embellishment.

Are you ready to see more double layouts? The full link up can be found below. Click on the link after my name or the next button. Thanks so much for visiting. Charlet

Sale-A-Bration - TGIF Challenges product Challenge - TGIFC199

This card feels fun, fresh and like a party! I love the sentiment and find it to be completely true. I think most of the people who inspire me have no idea. I should let them know.

This edition of the TGIF Challenges is focused on Sale-A-Bration products. The card I am featuring today features THREE great Sale-a-bration products.

I used the verse stamp set called Part of My Story, the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Papers and the Butterfly Wood Elements. A full list of supplies can be found below. Note: every 50$ purchase will earn you a FREE SAB product.

Like the colored look of the wood elements? I dipped them in versamark and then into InColor Embossing powder and heat set.

Want to play along with us and show us what you’ve made? We’d love to see it. Check out the TGIF Challenges blog for more inspiration and challenge details. Thanks for visiting!

Crafty Carrot Collective Featuring Geared Up Garage

Hello friends! I’m excited to share something new with you today. Have you heard of the Crafty Carrot Collective? It’s an online subscription tutorial program that four of my Stampin’ Up! Artisan friends put together. Each month the CCC feature a new collection of products through quality projects that you can see in this blog hop. Then if you subscribe to the tutorial program you’ll get access to five exclusive LIVE interactive project tutorials.

For March, the Crafty Carrot Collective is featuring the Geared Up Garage product suite and the team has asked me to be one of their guest designers. YAY! I am excited to play with these products and share some ideas with you. Also, if you are new here my name is Charlet Mallett. I’ve been an avid paper crafter (mostly cardmaker) for over 15 years. Cardmaking is my hobby, business and creative outlet. I post projects here and on instagram regularly if you are looking for an influx of inspiration. WELCOME!

Are you familiar with the Geared Up Garage products? This suite is perfect for projects that you might want to have a more “masculine” look & feel. The bundle includes a stamp set with coordinating dies that feature all sorts of images you might see in a car repair garage. There is a coordinating set of 6x6 designer series papers full of additional motor themed images in rich colors. This collection also includes fun metal wrench and key embellishments.

I decided to create a Father’s day card using this collection and focused on the gear imagery. Tranquil Tide is such a great color and is the base for this card. In fact, I’m digging the monochromatic feel of the card when paired with shades of gray. A full list of project supplies can be found below.

More details about the Crafty Carrot Collective and their subscription program can be found here.

Be sure to check out what the Crafty Carrot Collective has in store for you using these products. Next up on the Geared Up Garage Blog hop is the talented Cindy Schuster at Nutmeg Creations. Thanks for stop by!
