First Frost - Stamp Review Crew

November 18, 2018

Hello friends. Welcome to the First Frost edition of Stamp Review Crew. I’m finally getting a chance to play with this stamp set. This set is available in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday mini catalog and will also be carried over into the next big catalog. If you like this set you’ll be able to purchase it for a while.

This is a lovely stamp set that I can see being used for winter cards, wedding cards, congratulations and um basically any occasion. I created a couple of cards to share today that I hope you like. A full list of supplies can be found below.

My posts have been really short lately. Apologies as I try to catch up with life and stamping.

What is the Stamp Review Crew? We are an international group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that gets together to do a blog hop on the first and third Monday of each month. For each hop we chose a single stamp set to feature. We have a blog with all of the hops archived. You can hop through any hop, any time. Click here to see all of the hops!

Love Your Selfie - Scrapbook Sunday Blog Hop - November

November 18, 2018

Hello again! Welcome back to another Scrapbook Sunday blog hop. This event features a team of Stampin' Up! scrapbookers that blog hop the 3rd Sunday of every month and share exclusively scrapbooking ideas using Stampin' Up! products.

It's all about SELFIES this month. Fortunately it’s easy to take a self portrait these days. I’m still adding to the book I am making for my Grandmother. Over the last few years (as selfies have become more and more prevalent) I’ve made sure to take a selfie with my Grandma. I treasure these photos as she has changed so much of the last couple of years.

Now for the apology … I had very little time to create a page this month after returning from Stampin’ Up!’s OnStage convention. Stumped at what products to use I pulled out the ‘Notes of Kindness’ kit and was saved. The page came together easily and quickly. Kits to the rescue!

Are you ready to see more selfie themed pages? The full link up can be found below. Click on the link after my name or the next button. Thanks so much for visiting. Charlet

Merry Christmas to All - Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

November 15, 2018

Hello crafty friends! Welcome to November’s Stampin' Up! Artisan blog hop. This month we are featuring the Merry Christmas to all Bundle, the Making Christmas Bright Bundle, All is Bright Designer Series papers, and other coordinating products. These items are ideal for the holiday season and we hope this hop inspires your holiday crafting! You’ll see these products can be used in a variety of ways and the Artisan design team has a boatload of ideas to share with you. My creations for this round are a Christmas card and a Christmas tree ornament/gift tag.

Highlights from the Merry & Bright Card:

I think my favorite sheet of paper from the All is Bright Designer Series papers is this Crumb Cake colored bokeh sheet. I know it may look plain to some but it looks so good when you stamp on it. I stamped the word ‘bright’ over and over in Crumb Cake to created a similar bokeh look for the background.

The ‘Merry’ word is cut from Gold Glimmer paper and the rest of the card is built from there.

The lightbulb images from the Making Season Bright stamp set coordinate with all of these products as well, bringing in a graphic and bold look. I’ve stamped the bulb with the STAR image in Cherry Cobbler. I added a few more small stamped stars to the background paper as well at star clips from the All is Bright paper clips assortment.

Wreath Ornament tag highlights:

This wreath ornament will also function as a gift tag. I’ll use it to dress up a gift and then, after gifted, the recipient can use it to place on their tree. I’ve adorned the wreath using a variety of products mentioned above. A full product list can be found at the end of this post. The wreath was purchased at the local hobby store.

One highlight I’d like to point out on this ornament is the red berry pearls. These white pearls were colored using Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends. The little holly leaves were stamped in Call Me Clover and hand cut. The tree is a paper clip from the All is Bright clips. The clip has been inserted into the tag.
