Pop of Petals - Global Design Project Theme Challenge - GDP163

Stampin’ Up! Is celebrating 30 years this year. Their annual OnStage convention take place next week in Orlando and I am currently packing and preparing for it. So, it makes perfect sense that our theme for this week’s Global Design Project is 30 years of stamping. I created 30 year birthday card and coordinating gift (with a custom monogram gift tag) using the stamp set Pop of Petals bundle and the colors Petal Pink and Calypso Coral. The full list of supplies can be found below.

Theme challenges are so cool, you can interpret however you’ve like. It could be a scrapbook page, an anniversary, a birthday, etc. How would you handle this Global Design Project challenge? I’d love to see. The design team has more inspiration for you, check out the GDP blog for more details. #gdp163

Farmhouse Christmas - Stamp Review Crew

Hello and welcome to the Farmhouse Christmas edition of Stamp Review Crew. This has to be one of my most favorite bundles of holiday products this season. The imagery in this stamp is super cute and so fun to color. While the truck my be my favorite image chose to feature the house on the card that I am sharing today.

We have a gray house with a yellow front door but after coloring this image for this card I might be painting our front door red in the near future. I love the look of the red shutters with the green wreaths. Festive without being too much!

Full supplies for this card can be found below.

This post is short and sweet. I am packing for Stampin’ Up!’s Onstage in Orlando, so much to do and not enough time left. Will you be there? Say hello if so … I’d love to put a face to a name.

Are you ready to see what the Stamp Review Crew has created? Next up on this hop is Ann. Thanks so much for visiting.

AND … Thanks in advance for taking the time to comment. I love to hear from you!

What is the Stamp Review Crew? We are an international group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that gets together to do a blog hop on the first and third Monday of each month. For each hop we chose a single stamp set to feature. We have a blog with all of the hops archived. You can hop through any hop, any time. Click here to see all of the hops!

Snowflake Showcase 2 - Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Hello friends! Welcome to another Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop. In this hop we are featuring products from the Snowflake Showcase promotion. These products are available to purchase TODAY, November 1! All items are offered while supplies last.

Happiness Surrounds is the stamp set I got to play with for this round. We were asked to create at least one project only using the stamp set and then one project using the stamp set and the dies. This set is so versatile. I decided to create projects that can be used year round … not just for winter. Are you ready to see some BRIGHT projects. Lol. Got your shades ready? These cards are blinding but I love how saturated these colors look together.

Paint, paint paint! The background for the Positive Thoughts card is pretty simple to make. You’ll need a wide (about 1”) flat paint brush. I used Stampin’ Up! classic ink to paint the stripes directly onto watercolor paper. I tried to keep the paint fairly dry to create a hard lines between colors. The wetter the paint, the soupier it gets. You may need to test a few times on basic scrap paper to get the consistency right. I painted a full sheet of the watercolor paper and then cut down to size to create the hard edges on the right and left. The colors used are: Calypso Coral, Pineapple Punch and Pumpkin Pie.

The medallion image has been stamped in black and then accented with black faceted dots.

I stamped the border image from this set along the left and ride sides of the card using the Stamparatus to easily repeat. Then, I covered most of this image up with the watercolor piece so that only a small bit of it shows to create a little scallop border.

This bright Congratulations card using the dies to layer and accent the black stamped image. I was going for bright little bursts of flowers and I think I achieved the look! Each flower is first stamped and heat embossed in with black emboss powder. Then I added a little watercolor top of each flower, trying to have each color bleed into the next. Each flower center has a white pearl added that has been colored in the coordinating Stampin’ Blend color. A full list of colors and card making supplies can be found below.

Broadway Birthday - Creating Kindness Blog Hop - Teamwork

This month’s theme for the Creating Kindness blog hop is teamwork. I can’t think of a better team than stamps and ink. But perhaps using stamps with the Stamparatus (a stamp allignment tool) are a close second. My cards today take advantage of both of these pairings and are fairly basic … just stamps, ink, and paper!

The Stamparatus makes creating multiples so easy and fast. I’ve created a handful of the same card using the Broadway Birthday Stamps set and the Broadway Bound Designer Series papers. Check out this quick video and you’ll see that one card can be completely stamped in under 45 seconds.

I came up with a simple template and then made quick work arranging the four greeting stamps from Broadway Birthday on my Stamparatus plates. Look at how PERFECT the stamping came out?! Each image is stamped in the exact same place on each and every card. The cake image is hand cut from one of the paper sheets the Broadway Bound Designer Series papers. This particular sheet has a variety of cake images that are all about the same size making swapping them out on each card super easy. I placed a candle embellishment on each cake for a little finishing touch.

I’m super happy with how these turned out. Having multiple Birthday cards on hand is a MUST!

Below are a few additional card using a similar card template. I love how easy it is to create variants when all the products coordinate so well together. Talk about TEAM WORK! ; )

Every month we invite a guest to join us. Our Guest Designer this month is the talented Anna Krol. It’s so much fun to have different & new designers hopping with us each month! Welcome Anna!

If you are traveling the hop in order you just arrived from my friend Jenny Hall. Next up is the amazing Sara Levin. Full link up can be found below. Thanks for visiting and have a great day!
