Country Home - Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

October 18, 2018
Artisan Logo.jpg

The Artisan Design Team is back again to share projects using the Country Home Stamp set. This is a beautiful stamp set perfect for fall. I’m sharing two projects today

My first card uses Stampin’ Blends to color the stamped images from Country Home. This card also features the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions folder and Champagne Shimmer paint.

I’m really digging Shimmer paint. I find you can make a little go a long way when you dilute with rubbing alcohol. I added the diluted Champagne Shimmer paint directly to the embossed Pool Party card stock with a sponge dauber in a circular motion. The paper soaks up the paint quickly but also dries quickly.

I paired the pitcher image with the cattails flower arrangement image. After stamping and coloring I hand cut out using a hobby blade. I wanted to get a super close trim on this image and a hobby blade allowed me to get into the nooks and crannies of the leaves. I outlined the cut out image with a black Stampin’ Blend to finish off the look.

This next card features the cattails image colored with Stampin’ Blends. I stamped two the images back to back to create a floral swag and trimmed out. The greeting has been stamped in black ink and die cut using an oval from the Stitched Shape framelit dies. The outside edge of the oval and the perimeter of the card has been painted with Champagne Shimmer paint using a sponge dauber.

Have you had a chance to play with, or check out, the Take Your Pick tool? This multipurpose pickup and precision tool simplifies meticulous tasks. There is a tacky putty end to easily pick up sequins, paper accents, and other small objects; twist to dispense more putty. The other end has 2 changeable, double-ended tips with paper piercer, mini spatula, small stylus, and large stylus. I find the putty end indispensable and have been using it non stop to place small embellishments. It’s so easy to use! Refiles are available for the putty end. The tool retails for $10.00 USD. The two-pack refill retails for $3.50 USD. A list of additional project supplies can be found at the end of this post.

Are you ready to see what the Artisan Design Team has in store using Country home? Up next is the talented Connie Collins. Thanks so much for visiting and sharing your comments with me.

Alpine Adventure - Global Design Project CASE Challenge - GDP160

October 15, 2018
39583829_10157775939827222_902884142314684416_n.jpg

HELLO! This week are CASEing the designer one at the Global Design Project. We are so lucky to pull weekly inspiration from Krista Frattin and this week we have this beautiful card of Krista’s to case. #GDP160

My card features the skis from the Alpine Adventure stamp set. I choose to pull the layout directly from Kirsta’s card. It’s a very versatile sketch.

BTW - I LOVE this stamp set and just recently used it for a Stampin’ Up! Artisan post on Facebook. You can read that post and see more Alpine Adventure projects here.

The Global Design Project designers have really pulled out all the stops ‘case’ing Krista. There are so many variations and ideas that are sure to inspire you. Check them out here and play along with us! Thanks for stopping by.

Dashing Deer - Stamp Review Crew

Welcome to the Dashing Deer edition of Stamp Review Crew! I love this bundle of products. My most favorite piece is this ornate deer die cut, it’s so pretty.

I decided to take a slightly different color approach for my first card. This card features the boarder piece from this stamp set to create a background in Stampin’ Up colors (Flirty Flamingo, Calypso Coral, Mint Macaron Bermuda Bay and Soft Sea foam) … a fun take on red and green. The deer is die cut from black card stock, and I love the stark contrast of black against the white/colors.

My second card is a project we made at our last card club. It uses the verse from the set and that beautiful die cut deer. I created a simple watercolor wash for the background. It also features a die from the Decorative Edgelits.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to comment. I love to hear from you! Up next is the super talented and inspiring Stesha! I can’t wait to see her take on this set.

What is the Stamp Review Crew? We are an international group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that gets together to do a blog hop on the first and third Monday of each month. For each hop we chose a single stamp set to feature. We have a blog with all of the hops archived. You can hop through any hop, any time. Click here to see all of the hops! Go to the specific post for this hop here.

Alpine Adventure - Repost of Stampin' Up! FB page.

October 12, 2018

Note: this is repost of a FB note post that first appeared on Stampin’ Up!’s facebook page on October 11th.

Photo 2 Alpine Adventure bundle.jpg

Hello friends! Are you ready to go on a little adventure ... an Alpine Adventure? I had a blast playing around with the wintery images in this stamp set with the Stamparatus and am excited to share a few ideas with you.

I’m a big fan of winter sports so I was thrilled to see the Alpine Adventure Photopolymer Bundle (item 149919)in the Holiday catalog. The bundle includes 17 stamp images and 12 dies.

Photo 3 Stamparatus 1.jpg

Creating this perfectly repeating snowshoe background was a breeze using the Stamparatus (item 146276). The snowshoe stamp image is the perfect size to repeat using the hinge step. The snowshoe has been stamped in Gray Granite Classic ink(item 147118) onto a piece of Gray Granite cardstock (item 146983).  Stamp one row of snowshoes with the snowshoe faced up (ink image, stamp, move hinge). Then align the snowshoe stamp in the open area upside down to create the second row (ink image, stamp, move hinge). Continue this process until the entire sheet is covered with snowshoes.

This bundle is full of great support images. I added a couple of die cut snowflakes, jingle bells, a greeting and a bow. Then I layered the assembled card front onto a piece of Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper(item 147820) to finish the card.

Photo 4 Alpine Adventure.jpg

Here’s another card using the snowshoe to create a similar background. This time the snowshoe image has been stamped in Bermuda Bay Classic Ink(item 147096) on Whisper White Cardstock(item 100730). The greeting has been stamped in Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink (item 147083) and layered onto the background. This card also uses Cherry Cobbler 1/4" Double-Stitched Ribbon(item 144117), which I think coordinates perfectly with the designs this stamp set.

Here are a few more cards showcasing this bundle.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this little set sampler. It’s nice to have some winter play without the cold fingers and toes. Have a great day!
