Lots of Lavender - Color Throw Down 475

It seems I've been a little MIA on blog posting lately. I have been making tons of samples but not many have been posted online ... yet. Feeling the need to craft and inspired by my friend Jenny, I thought I'd participate in this weeks Color Throw Down challenge. It's been forever since I've played along with this crew but it sure it fun to try out a different color combination. I don't usually use much purple in my projects. Purple is the perfect color choice to use with this flower bouquet image.

The stamp set I used is called Lots of Lavender and it's part of the current Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration promotion. You can earn it free with any 50$ purchase.

Another fun new product shown on this card are the Glitter and Clear epoxy shapes. These appear like tiny dew drops and are a simple and subtle embellishment.

I matched these challenge colors up to Stampin' Up! colors = Fresh Fig, Pool Party and Sweet Sugarplum.

A Good Day - Global Design Project 120 CASE the Designer

Hello! It's been a long two weeks since our last Global Design Project challenge, or at least it's felt that way to me. The beginning of the year can be so busy. Hope you are doing fantastic.

Today our challenge for the Global Design Project is a CASE the designer challenge, featuring the super talented Krista Frattin. I absolutely love everything she creates. Her CASE card is beautiful and there are so many fun tidbits to copy and selectively edit. Play along with us and share your creation over on the Global Design project blog.

My card uses a similar layout and color scheme as the CASE project. I've also incorporated a few fun new products from the Occasions mini catalog. I am in LOVE with these mini embroidery hoops, I can't wait to play more with these. Inside of the embroidery hoop is an image of an adorable baby deer from the 'A Good Day' stamp set. I've colored the deer with Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends. Hidden in the background is a vine texture from a new embossing folder pack called Petal Pairs.

Birthday Wit - Color Challenge - TGIFC141

Happy New Year folks! It's almost the end of the first week of 2018. How's it going for you? Gotten anything done? It's been a busy week around here—snow storms, snow days and deadlines. Not much time for crafting for me but last night I did find time to cram in a last minute card for this weeks TGIF Color Challenge. Wanna play along? Color challenges are always so much fun. This card features a new stamp set from the Occasions mini catalog called Birthday Wit. This set is so funny and perfect for any type of birthday card. It's a must have! Check out all of these witty sayings. I can't decide which phrase is my favorite.

What do you think of my little bow-tie creation? It was so easy. I used the new Tailored Tag punch, also from the Occasions catalog.

Four easy steps:

1. Punch the shape from your favorite paper.
2. Cut the shape in half. Swap sides so smaller sides are touching to create the bow-tie shape.
3. Wrap the middle with a piece of the same paper (.5 x 1").
4. Adhere together. So simple.
