Birthday Fiesta #3

June 29, 2016

Welcome back! Another day another Birthday Fiesta card. I told you I have fun making with this set. This cactus is darling and I love the little bit of shine the gold embossing adds. I love to watercolor over embossing. You should try it. So easy. I embossed the cactus image first and then added watercolor with Emerald Envy and a blender pen over the embossed image. Thanks for stopping by. Stop by tomorrow for another Birthday Fiesta card. It's turning out to be a set sampler week.

Picture Perfect - WWYS 69

June 20, 2016

It's full on summer. We spent the day at the beach yesterday for Father's day. It was so nice and relaxing. YEAH!!! In honor of summer, beaches and all things happy and sunny here is a nautically inspired card using the starfish image from Picture Perfect. You guessed it, Picture Perfect is this week's What Will You Stamp challenge set.

I wasn't really sure what direction to take this card when I started but I am please with how it turned out. I'm itching to use new catalog sets so I paired Picture Perfect with the new Thoughtful Banners stamp and Duet Banner punch. Bright, simple and sunny. The little bits of copper glimmer you see are from the Affectionately Yours Designer Washi Tape! Love it.

The pop of dark blue is the new Incolor Dapper Denim. Another LOVE IT.
