HAPPY FATHER'S DAY - Badges & Banners, Thoughtful Banners

June 18, 2016

Happy Father's DAY weekend. We have some fun things planned and hopefully you do too. I'm not sure crafting will make it into the mix this weekend so I made my Father's Day cards early. I figured I'd post these cards today, instead of tomorrow, in case you need some last minute Father's Day card inspiration! My Dad and Chris rarely follow the crafty blog posts so I think I am ok. I mailed my Dad's gift, sans card, last week. Oops. Looks like he'll be getting is card a little later.

These two cards use all sorts of fun new products. The Diagonal background stamp is going to be a very well used stamp. I LOVE It. These supplies lists are not for the faint of heart. Ouch! I guess I needed to use all sorts of new goodies.

Greatest Greetings - WWYS 68

June 13, 2016

You've got to love a good timeless greetings set. Greatest Greetings is just that, and it is the stamp set for this week's What Will You stamp challenge. This set works well with just about any image stamp set. I've paired it with the new Swirly Bird Stamp set & Thinletsfrom the Stampin' Up! catalog.

The primary color on this card is Sweet Sugarplum, a new SU InColor. This color is growing on me but I'm not sure I love it yet. Maybe it's just bad memories from a high school dance where I wore a similarly colored dress? Maybe this memory was my subconscious inspiration for this week's card? Between my giant hair and puffy/swirly dress I think this card totally reeks of 1989. What do you think?

We'd love it if you'd join in on this weeks WWYS challenge. Check out the WWYS blog to see all the great inspiration from some seriously fabulous card makers. Thanks for stopping by.

Manly Occasions - Paper Pumpkin Alternates for May 2016

June 11, 2016

I feel like I am always a bit behind on making my Paper Pumpkin Kits - a month late I guess. What do you think of the May Manly Occasions kit? Here are a select few of the alternates I created. I've seen some really amazing cards with this kit and am super inspired by them. I'm not sure I pushed myself enough with these samples, oh well. Check out this Pinterest board to see THESE super cool samples using this kit.

You've Got This - WWYS 67

June 6, 2016

Thanks for stopping by today. I've got another card for you made with the the challenge set for this weeks What Will You Stamp. You've Got This is the most gorgeous stamp set. It seems every project made from these stamps turns out amazing. The large flower is so fun to water color and the hatched background piece is a great staple image. I think this flower is a Peony?

I love to heat emboss in white and then color. The large flower is embossed in white on watercolor paper and then I water colored in the lines. The large background image is also heat embossed on the patterned paper. The Designer Series paper used as the background is a new paper from the Playful Palette stack. This card uses a small mix of new and retired product, the supply list indicates what is retired below.

Check out many more beautiful creations with this set on the What Will You Stamp blog. Play along if you have this set. It's so much fun. Have a nice day!
