Acorny Thank You - WWYS Challenge #35

October 26, 2015

One of my most favorite sets from the Stampin' Up! Holiday mini just happens to be this weeks (WWYS) What Will You Stamp Design team challenge set, Acorny Thank You. This set is so easy to stamp, punch out, and make an awesome card.

I used the Grateful for You greeting from this set to create a pattern by stamping in full color Delightful Dijon and then stamping again before inking the stamp again. This stamp set is clear photopolymer and is easy to line up by eyeballing the spacing. I could have gotten more exact alignment if I had used the stamp-a-ma-jig but I liked the less than perfect results.

I hope you enjoyed this Acorny Thank You card. I am grateful you stopped by! You can play along too ... create a project and then post a picture of your sample to the (WWYS) blog.

Head on over to the What Will You Stamp? Challenge Blog and check out the rest of the Design Team's fabulous fall projects using the Acorny Thank You stamp set. Happy stamping!

Blissful Bouquet - Alternates for Paper Pumpkin Oct 2015

October 21, 2015

October's Paper Pumpkin kit arrived. It's a pretty kit! GREAT NEWS, every kit generates an extra dollar toward Breast cancer research. Win/win.  Here are a few of the alternates I created with this months kit.

Among the Branches - WWYS Challenge #34

October 19, 2015

This week the (WWYS) What Will You Stamp Design team was challenged to use the Among the Branches stamp set. This is a great set especially when paired with the Woodland Embossing Folder. I am excited to see what the rest of the team creates with this set! You can play along too, create your project and then post your sample to the (WWYS) blog for all to see.

This color combination has different spin and is something a little less traditional for fall. I gave the branches a little pop of pink by mixing a little Watermelon Wonder ink to Craft Whisper white ink. I used a sponge dauber to apply the mixed ink. If I try this technique again I think I'll use a paint brush for a little more control. It was hard to color in the lines of the trees.

Holiday Mini Ink Bug Swaps

October 18, 2015

I received some happy mail this week! You may recall the Spooky card I made for Julie's Ink Bugs swap. Below is a quick phone snap of the cards I received in return. Most Swaps used products from the Stampin' Up! 2015 Holiday mini catalog. I love swapping by mail.

Pulling out all the green and silver bling from my stash to create this sparkly tree card. This card is super simple: stamp and then embellish (a lot). #useyourstash #stampinup #cardmaker
Use your STASH - Bring on the Bling! This is the perfect challenge for this card. I have so many rhinestones and sparkly dots that it made perfect sense to use as many as possible to decorate this tree. My card is inspired by a recent wreath project

I have so many rhinestones and sparkly dots that it made perfect sense to use as many as possible to decorate this tree. My card is inspired by a recent wreath project @paulinespapier created using embellishments. 'Use Your Stash' is a monthly instagram hop where my friends and I get crafty and use what we have on hand. The bling is from decades of crafting ... the stamp set is called 'Twinkle Trees'. Stampin' Up! products you can still purchase: Basic White cardstock Garden Green Ink Textured Notes dies Shimmer Star foam stickers I can't wait to see what BLING my friends have kept around and used for this challenge.
