Sweet Hauntings - WWYS Challenge #33

October 12, 2015

Another week and another fun stamp set to inspire with (WWYS) What Will You Stamp Design team. I found all of the projects from last weeks challenge super inspiring. Remember, every Monday, our Design team posts projects using a single featured stamp set. This week we were challenged to use the Sweet Hauntings stamp set. This set has a matching note tag punch!!!

I decided create treat packaging instead of a card this week. Candy bar wrappers are so fun and easy to create. You can make them as simple or as complex as you'd like. The simple route: cut designer paper to the size of the candy bar and wrap. Instantly better. Step it up a bit more with a few layers. Sometimes when I struggle with a layout for a certain project I will first stamp all of the elements, cut them out and just start arranging pieces like a puzzle until I get a look I like. I find that process super fun!

BOO! More Howl-o-ween Treat samples

October 9, 2015

Yep, I have more samples to share using the Howl-o-ween treats stamp set, framelits and a traditional orange and black color combination.

The spiderweb doilies are so versatile. Flip and use the back side for a totally different look. Tip with a black card: use a white gel pen or chalk pen to write a visable message on the inside.

Howl-o-ween Treat - WWYS Challenge #32

October 5, 2015

Guess who has more reasons to stamp? Me! I'm so excited to join the (WWYS) What Will You Stamp Design team. Every Monday the Design team posts projects using a single featured stamp set. Once the stamp set is revealed you are invited to play along and create a project for the WWYS challenge. Fun, huh?

If you are visiting my blog for the first time, WELCOME! I am excited you are here. A quick bit about me ... I am a freelance designer, crafter (Stampin' Up! demonstrator) and mother of three very active boys. I LOVE TO STAMP! This blog is a place for me to journal about crafts, family and personal interests. I post about craft projects most often.

This week we were challenged to use the Howl-O-Ween Treats stamp set. This set has matching Framelits. Woohoo! I decided to pair this set with the confetti star border punch and lucky star embossing folder. Full supply list for all projects below. For the witches hat card I wanted the greeting to be horizontal instead of stacked. I used markers to color the individual words and stamp them how I wanted. Easy.

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to come back every Monday to see a new featured stamp set and how I use it. Now head on over to the What Will You Stamp? Challenge Blog and check out the Design Team's amazing projects using the Howl-o ween Treat stamp set. Happy stamping.

Wickedly Sweet September 2015 paper pumpkin alternate projects. Stampin' Up!

Wickedly Sweet - Alternates for Paper Pumpkin (September 2015)

September 24, 2015

September's Paper Pumpkin kit is called Wickedly Sweet and it is a pretty sweet kit. This is not your typically card kit but it's darling all the same. The stamp set is perfect for fall and I can see myself pulling it out often - it has many micro detail stamps that you'll likely see on future projects. I didn't create many alternate projects this month but I did create a card from the kit components and few additional ink colors. Also, see the little acorn detail on the treats? The woods around our home are supplying us with tons of acorns. Use what you have ...  I thought I'd add them as little embellishments to the packaging.

Wickedly Sweet Tag - Add a touch of the outdoors by adding an acorn to the tag.

Pulling out all the green and silver bling from my stash to create this sparkly tree card. This card is super simple: stamp and then embellish (a lot). #useyourstash #stampinup #cardmaker
