Stamp Review Crew - Joining the team! Paisleys & Posies

November 8, 2016

Woohoo! Guess what friends? I've been invited to join a monthly blog hop with an amazing group of international stampers, the Stamp Review Crew. I am super excited and very honored to join this amazing community of stampers.

The Stamp Review Crew is an international group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that gets together on the first and third Mondays of every month to do a blog hop. Each hop features projects using a single stamp set to give you inspiration for that set! This group of stampers is super duper talented. You WILL be blown away. You can check our previous HOPS over at the Stamp Review Crew blog, all are archived and you will be able to click through each hop going directly to the posts for that hop.

The Stamp Review Crew posted projects using the Paisleys & Posies stamp set yesterday. I was a little late to the game and was not quick enough to get in on this hop. Not to worry, I'll be participating in the upcoming Hop on Monday, Dec 5. Until then check out the Paisleys & Posies Edition Hop, happening now.

Inspired by all the fabulous Stamp Review Crew creations, I did whipped up these simple little candy bar wrappers using mostly products from the Paisleys & Posies product suite. I was out of Mint Macaroon card stock (gotta reorder), so I ended up using leftover Pistachio Pudding card stock. Color still coordinates pretty well. These favors ended up being sweet little gifts for a couple of friends who stopped by yesterday. Supply list below. Enjoy!

Sweet Hauntings - WWYS Challenge #33

October 12, 2015

Another week and another fun stamp set to inspire with (WWYS) What Will You Stamp Design team. I found all of the projects from last weeks challenge super inspiring. Remember, every Monday, our Design team posts projects using a single featured stamp set. This week we were challenged to use the Sweet Hauntings stamp set. This set has a matching note tag punch!!!

I decided create treat packaging instead of a card this week. Candy bar wrappers are so fun and easy to create. You can make them as simple or as complex as you'd like. The simple route: cut designer paper to the size of the candy bar and wrap. Instantly better. Step it up a bit more with a few layers. Sometimes when I struggle with a layout for a certain project I will first stamp all of the elements, cut them out and just start arranging pieces like a puzzle until I get a look I like. I find that process super fun!

This blue and purple winter card uses tidbits from the Calm & Bright kit. I used the negative shape from the fir die cut to create a stencil and layered from there. Blend, stencil, stamp. Colors are Highlander Heather, Cloud Cover, & Lost Lagoon. @global_design_project #gdp525 #stampinup #calmandbright
Masking and stamping! On this card I mask with tape, blend ink, then stamp, then stencil, and stamp again to create a layered scene. It’s so satisfying to remove the masking tape… always a fun reveal. Sending Joy! I created this wintry scene using the Calm and Bright card kit. I love the look of white on white. I pulled in some gold embossing and Crumb Cake to balance out all that white. This CAS kit has tons of cute and tiny elements (yippee for tiny stamps) that are perfect for creating an adorable little holiday scene. 166461 Card created for @global_design_project BRRR theme. #gdp523 #stampinup #cardmaker #cardmaking #cardmakersofinstagram #cardmakingreels #madewithmine
