Happy Mother's day to all of the fabulous mothers in our lives. I sure am missing my Mom today. She is gorgeous, cool, and pretty much the most awesome person I know. Love her tons!

Big Day Birthday Cards

Occasionally I'll post cards that are not related to a club or an event. I'll likely do this more in the coming months. I made these cards so send to my Utah card club as inspiration for them. These cards use the BIG DAY sale-a-bration stamp set. This is a really versatile stamp set that is fun and easy to use. The template for both cards is fairly similar so it is simple to swap out and change up the colors to get two completely different looking cards. Supplies are listed below.

Note: on these cards I used the SU blendabilities markers which are currently unavailable. To recreate you can color these image with copic markers or watercolor with SU classic ink.

I miss my craft room. It may be a few months before I get my supply back. And I'm jonesing... I did pack a few things I could create with for the apartment. I sat down this week to make Kylene a birthday card and a few thank you cards. I figure that I am going to try the card a week challenge again. I was beyond happy to have a paper pumpkin kit on hand that I could work with. I made the three Thank You cards following the exact instructions from the kit - see bottom photo. The Birthday card (above) and the tags are alternate projects I made up adding a little bit of ink and ribbon. Learn more about paper pumpkin here.
