Beautiful Baubles - Global Design Project Theme Challenge - GDP167

It’s THEME week at the Global Design Project. Tis the Season! What are you doing to prep for your holidays? Making cards?, Neighbor gifts? Gift tags? SHOW US!

My card today features the Beautiful Baubles Stamp set and dies. It’s a has a bit of a messy watercolor look which I like. This look is easy to achieve. Heat emboss the ornament image in white emboss powder on watercolor paper and then paint the color.. The embossed lines will help keep the color within each shape. It will bleed a little if super wet but that’s ok, that gives it the messy look.

TGIF Challenges Anything but a card - TGIFC188

Happy FRIDAY and last day of November! TGIF challenges is coming at you strong today. #TGIFC188 Recently (at the Orlando OnStage in early November), the TGIF Design Team got together to swap projects. What does is a SWAP? Exactly what is is defined as:

In our case were exchanged hand stamped goodies. Our only criteria was that the project could not be a card (the typical thing we swap at these events). Many of us decided to wait to share our projects until this fun challenge. You must check out the TGIF Challenge blog and see more of these projects! What a talented crew. I’ll make a few little videos later today to share in my instagram stories of the swaps I received in return. @i.heart.stamps on instagram.

P.S. You’re the Best Tag Bag, Charlet Mallett - Stampin’ Up!

My swap project is a little tag bag, created using the scallop tag punch and a 2” x 8.5” sheet of paper. These are super simple to make. Cut the paper to size. Punch both long ends. Add a couple score lines in the middle where you want it to fold and you are done! I needed an inch in the middle to support the gift. I added dry embossing to each bag after they were cut and punched.

Inside the little tag bag is a card holder. A must have for any cardmaker. I use these all the time and thought the crew might like. The stamp set is P.S. You’re the Best. A full list of supplies can be found below.

Can I tell you how much I LOVE THIS TEAM?!!! These gals are so very creative, kind, funny, and the most supportive bunch. I could myself so blessed to be able to know them and create with them.

Beauty Abounds - Global Design Project Sketch Challenge - GDP166

What a sweet little sketch we have for you this week. My card features some sneak peak products from the upcoming Stampin’ Up! Occasions catalog. This card looks like a picnic on a summer afternoon. Super fun. #GDP166

2 new Product sneaks: Beauty Abound stamp set, Gingham 6x6 paper stack.

Couple of things you might miss on this card … 1. See the little chevron border? This was created using the Delicate Lace edgelits. 2. In the large square rectangle I’ve stamped a large swirl piece and heat set with white emboss powder. You can see this better in the image below.

Beauty Abounds - TGIF Challenges Technique - TGIFC187

Hello friends! Happy Thanksgiving.

Time for a TGIF technique challenge. This week we are playing around with sponging. There are many ways to sponge. I choose to create a gradient background on glossy white cardstock with sponge daubers and classic ink. Glossy cardstock is very forgiving and allows you to sponge and blend ink easily.
