Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop - Bouquet of Hope

February 25, 2021

Hello and welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Thing monthly blog hop. This hop is all creating and sharing alternate products for the current Paper Pumpkin kit. This month’s Paper Pumpkin kit is called ‘Bouquet of Hope’.

It’s been forever since I’ve been able to participate in this hop. Since I love on the East Coast I often get my kit later. For some miracle my kit arrived last week and I had plenty of time to make the projects, play around and make a few alternates.

This is a beautiful kit, I’m particularly fond of the stamp set. The large bouquet of flowers is such a pretty image and super fun to color. I used that stamp image on all three of my cards. These alternate projects range from super simple to using all the components for all three cards on one card! Lol. You can recreated these alternates easily. All I added was black ink and various colors of Stampin’ Blends.

Paper Pumpkin Kits come with all the supplies to create multiples of 2-3 projects. You can easily extend your kits by altering projects. My big tip today … CHOP IT IN HALF. Take your card based and chop them in half. You can then mount to plain white cardstock and have double the options. This also provides sheets of the colored card base that can be chopped into smaller pieces. Did you notice? On my first card I chopped the doily in half, creating a pretty skirt for the bouquet image. The Rococo Rose band that runs across the card was chopped from the back of the Rococo card base. Even the greeting is “chopped”. I stamped the full sentiment and then cut in half to simplify the sentiment.

Masking and stamping! On this card I mask with tape, blend ink, then stamp, then stencil, and stamp again to create a layered scene.
