Monday Montage 171 & - Global Design Project - GDP254 - Press On

Hello friends! I’m combine two posts this week: Monday Montage & Global Design Project

The Monday Montage crew is a talented of LONG TIME Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. A quick refresher: the Montage gals host a blog hop every other Monday showing you fun and exciting Stampin’ Up! products. I’m trying to work on cards for the weekly challenges I participate in as I slowly dig out from under a sea of moving boxes. It’s proving difficult as I can't find even my most basic tool. Anyone seen my scoring tool? Don’t look too closely at my fold lines. Haha.

This week at Global Design Project (GDP) we are playing with a basic sketch. I used the Press On Stamp set and Gilded Autumn papers to create this fun coffee lover card.

All of the cards created with this sketch are fantastic. Check them out on the Global Design Project blog. You’ll be wowed! I am always impressed with my fellow Global Design Project Designers. Want to play along with us? Details on how to play along are on the GDP blog. If you make a project be sure to tag your project #gdp254 so we can see your work.

Next up on the Monday Montage Blog hop is Cheryl. I can’t wait to see what she is working on this week.

Blending Brush fail … but I made this card work in the end. The paper on the Specialty Embossed Cards has a little tooth and I could not get a smooth blend. Enter operation cover it all up. Haha. This blue and purple winter card uses tidbits from the Calm & Bright kit. I used the negative shape from the fir die cut to create a stencil and layered from there. Blend, stencil, stamp. Colors are Highlander Heather, Cloud Cover, & Lost Lagoon. @global_design_project #gdp525 #stampinup #calmandbright
Masking and stamping! On this card I mask with tape, blend ink, then stamp, then stencil, and stamp again to create a layered scene. It’s so satisfying to remove the masking tape… always a fun reveal.
