Welcome friends. Awesome news ... I've been asked to participate in the 'A Paper Pumpkin Thing' blog hop that happens monthly. Yay! I am super exited to share my take on Paper Pumpkin kits. What is this hop all about? Wait, what is Paper Pumpkin all about? Paper Pumpkin is a monthly subscription craft kit full of goodness from Stampin' Up! Every kit includes a stamp set, supplies, ink and projects instructions. The designers participating in this hop take the monthly kit and put their own spin on the projects providing alternate ideas for you and various ways on how to use the kit supplies. Fun, fun!

This month's kit is called Blissful Blooms. When I get my monthly box I usually make one set of the suggested projects exactly as shown. Once I check that off the list then I go to town and play with the remaining supplies. I tried to keep with the basic kit supplies but sometimes I add a few core items from my craft stash. On these cards I swapped up inks, added a few dies & embossing folders but otherwise you could make these using your kit supplies.

Blending Brush fail … but I made this card work in the end. The paper on the Specialty Embossed Cards has a little tooth and I could not get a smooth blend. Enter operation cover it all up. Haha. Masking and stamping! On this card I mask with tape, blend ink, then stamp, then stencil, and stamp again to create a layered scene.
