17 Awesome Years - Labeler Alphbet

November 3, 2016

My oldest is 17 today! It's amazing how quickly the time has passed. He is such a wonderful young man and I am so very proud of him. We are exited to celebrate him today.

This is the cute card I made for him using Labeler Alphabet and the large number framelits. I always find it a bit hard to make a more masculine handmade card. They still end up looking cute and crafty to me. Ah well. I like how this turned out and I am happy to find additional uses for the Warmth and Cheer paper stack!

Blending Brush fail … but I made this card work in the end. The paper on the Specialty Embossed Cards has a little tooth and I could not get a smooth blend. Enter operation cover it all up. Haha. This blue and purple winter card uses tidbits from the Calm & Bright kit. I used the negative shape from the fir die cut to create a stencil and layered from there. Blend, stencil, stamp. Colors are Highlander Heather, Cloud Cover, & Lost Lagoon. @global_design_project #gdp525 #stampinup #calmandbright
Masking and stamping! On this card I mask with tape, blend ink, then stamp, then stencil, and stamp again to create a layered scene. It’s so satisfying to remove the masking tape… always a fun reveal.
