Carousel Birthday is the absolute perfect set to use for this weeks Global Design Challenge, Amusement Park. I've been up to neck in challenges lately but I haven't participated in a Global Design challenge in a while. Challenges are a fun and a great way to stay creative. Blending Brush fail … but I made this card work in the end. The paper on the Specialty Embossed Cards has a little tooth and I could not get a smooth blend. Enter operation cover it all up. Haha. This blue and purple winter card uses tidbits from the Calm & Bright kit. I used the negative shape from the fir die cut to create a stencil and layered from there. Blend, stencil, stamp. Masking and stamping! On this card I mask with tape, blend ink, then stamp, then stencil, and stamp again to create a layered scene. It’s so satisfying to remove the masking tape… always a fun reveal.
