I received some happy mail this week! You may recall the Spooky card I made for Julie's Ink Bugs swap. Below is a quick phone snap of the cards I received in return. Most Swaps used products from the Stampin' Up! 2015 Holiday mini catalog. I love swapping by mail.

Blending Brush fail … but I made this card work in the end. The paper on the Specialty Embossed Cards has a little tooth and I could not get a smooth blend. Enter operation cover it all up. Haha. This blue and purple winter card uses tidbits from the Calm & Bright kit. I used the negative shape from the fir die cut to create a stencil and layered from there. Blend, stencil, stamp. Masking and stamping! On this card I mask with tape, blend ink, then stamp, then stencil, and stamp again to create a layered scene. It’s so satisfying to remove the masking tape… always a fun reveal.
