I made this fun birthday card for someone special. Turns out they are not turning 40, rather 39. oops. I guess I'll need to fix this card. And, I was such a slacker that I had to alter the inside of the card to accommodate my BELATED wishes... Ah well. Best of intentions.
Window Shopping - Stamp Review Crew
It's Stamp Review time! This edition we are reviewing the stamp set Window Shopping. I struggled at first to come up with a project and then the flood gates opened. Does that ever happen to you? I just sat a stared at the stamp set, and stared, walked away and then came back and stamped something else. LOL. Anyway, projects came together somehow.
The Stamp Review Crew is a group of International Stampin' Up! demonstrators who want to show you how much you can do with one stamp set. Fun idea, heh? Each unique blog hop will feature one stamp set. Each stop along the hop will show you a different idea, or ideas using that set! If you are hopping in order just came from Dawn Kidd. Next up on the Window Shopping. stamp review is Ann Schach, thanks for stopping by!
Tags & Trimmings - Case the Designer - #GDP100
UPDATE!!! Guess what friends? My card for the #GDP100 challenge was chosen as the overall winner. WOOHOO! I am super excited and beyond humbled to have this project featured. Did you see all the fabulous submissions? Seriously, head over to the Global Design Project blog and check them all out. THANK GDP!
I'm sneaking a challenge card in under the wire for this week's Global Design Project! The GDP has been around for 100 weeks ... and happens to be one of my most favorite challenges to participate in. Happy 100 GDP and thanks for all of the inspiration!
This week's challenge is a CASE the Designer challenge. It was a tough pick, there are so many awesome projects to choose from. I chose to case a gorgeous card from Krista Frattin from Stampin' Dolce, who cased her card from the super talented Steffi Helmschrott from Stampelwiese (what a cycle!).
I took elements from the basic layout, watercolor background and the color Flirty Flamingo to play from. It's always fun to sneak new products ... so I featured a new stamp set that will be released soon (Sept 1) from Stampin' Up!'s Holiday catalog. BTW - If you'd like a Holiday catalog, leave me a comment or drop me an email.
Girl, you are FABULOUS! - TGIF Challenge 121
Girl, You Are FABULOUS! It's true. It also happens to be the theme challenge for this week over at TGIF Challenges. Now, I'm not gonna lie, all of my cards are a little bit girly. It seems I don't create many masculine cards. Really, any card I've created over the last few months would have worked for this challenge. I decided to use a stamp set that I have not yet featured, Tabs for Everything, to create this card. It has the sentiment FABULOUS, which is perfect for this challenge. I used pink and gold as my color scheme and went to town. Diamonds, Gold, Crowns, Doilies, Faceted Gems, Pink ... what more could a girly girl ask for?
Check out what the team created over at the TGIF Challenges blog and show us your girly girl projects. Thanks for stopping by. Happy Stamping!
The Tabs for Everything stamp set includes all sorts of fun icons for you daily planner, journaling, and for creating small embellishments. I created this crown tab using 3 stamps from the set. The tab punch frames these icons perfectly.
Gold bling and more ... See that little sneak of gold 1/8' washi tape between the 'you're' and 'fabulous' sentiments? That taoe is from a new metallic Washi tape assortment coming soon in the holiday catalog. A MUST HAVE. Stay tuned for more product sneaks, coming soon!
