Four Wheeling w/Grandpa

The boys and I enjoyed a great day four wheeling with Grandpa. We rode a few river washes, hiked to an old rock walled fort, and found dinosaur tracks (yes, real dinosaur tracks!). Charlet asked me to send a few pictures to her blog.

My Stampin Blog

Ok folks, my Stampin' Up! business website now has a blog feature. Pretty cool if you ask me. It doesn't mean that I'll abandoned this blog, never. What it does mean is that I'll try to keep the stamp blog updated about card clubs, workshops and stamp projects. Visit my stampin' blog here.

The Holiday mini has arrived. As always you can place product orders through my demo site if you want.

Yeah, I live in the future...

So... some of you may view this blog in a reader, if so you may not have noticed the August header. Well, today is August 8th and I just realized, or rather Chris pointed out, that the header reads 2011 and we are in fact in the year 2010. In my mind I think it's 2011 because all the projects at work are for 2011 and into 2012. Before I left for maternity leave we were planning the 2011 Stampin' Up! catalog. I even bet the date on the checks I write read 2011, I'm going to go check. My error will continue throughout August because I did not save the PSD file used to create the header, shame on me, so it will stay 2011 because I am too lazy to fix it. A big fat DUH!

Pioche, Neveda - Walker family reunion

The small town of Pioche is a very visually interesting place. This is where my Grandma LaRue was born 80 years ago. Most of the descendants of LaRue and Lionell, little babies and all, spent a morning walking/driving around this small town last week. I wish I had more time (and another hand) while we were touring around to take pictures. Sarah has a bunch of photos on her blog if you are interested. Parts of Pioche are completely abandoned but you could easily imagine the bustle when the town was thriving. This mining town, at one point, accounted for 60% of Nevada's murders, or so the tour CD stated. Wow.
