December 1, 2021

Hello, hello! Welcome to another Stamping Society Monthy tutorial. This month we are sharing ideas using the Whimsical Trees Bundle.

What is Stamping Society? We are group of international stampers who showcase an idea monthly through a blog hop and then offer more exclusive ideas through a tutorial. The tutorial showcases 6 exclusive ideas along with instructions and a video. Details on how to get the tutorial at the end of this post.

I am absolutely adore this bundle. I’ve used it endlessly this season. I posted a handful of cards earlier this week and here is one more for you …

Let Your Heart Be Light - Shaker Card Whimsical Trees Bundle

Instructions: UPDATE COMING SOON!

  1. Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 8.5” x 11”. Score and fold in half to create card base.

  2. Cut a piece of Silver Stripe Whimsy and Wonder DSP to 4.5” x 3”. Center and mount to card base.

  3. Create a shaker window: Cut a piece a pink snowflake Whimsy and Wonder DSP to 3.75” x 2.75”. Center the open tree die onto the DSP. Secure with tape and cut out tree to create a negative tree shape opening.

  4. Cut a piece of acetate window sheet to 3” x 2”. Adhere to backside of tree opening. Line the backside of the tree outline with adhesive strips. Leave a 1/2” boarder around tree.

  5. Add sequins and shaker items to interior.

  6. Cut a piece of Basic Gray cardstock to 4” x 3”. Center and align with shaker tree window. Mount to shaker window . If perfect alignment is tricky cut the Basic gray cardstock to 5”x4”, mount to backside of shaker and then trim to 4” x 3”.

  7. Cut tree garland from silver foil cardstock using the tree garland die. Algin over tree window with top of garland starting at top of tree. Trim off excess (about 1/2” of garland from bottom of tree. Adhere to window sheet tree.

  8. Adhere wonderful snowflake die cut to card front. See card for placement.

  9. Stamp greeting in VersaMark and heat set with white emboss powder onto Polished Pink cardstock. Cut to .5” to 3.5” Center and mount to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. See card for placement.

  10. Tie a small bow using Silver Twine and adhere to card front. See card for placement.

Whimsical Trees - Stamp Review Crew

November 29, 2021

Hello friends! Welcome to the Whimsical Trees Edition of Stamp Review Crew. This bundle is amazing! It’s my favorite from the Holiday catalog. Every project created from this bundle is adorable. My card used the stamps, dies and Designer Series Papers from this suite. A few additional cards I’ve created using this bundle are shown below.

What is the Stamp Review Crew? We are an international group of paper crafters that get together to feature and review a single Stampin’ Up! stamp set on the first and third Monday of each month. All of our previous stamp set reviews are archived. Click here to see all of the hops!

Ready for more inspiration using this stamp set? Next up is Jay. Be sure to go through the hop to see what ALL my talented friends have created using this set. Thanks in advance for taking the time to comment. I love to hear from you.

One color wonder - I stamped the little birdie image on coldpress watercolor paper in Golden Glow ink and then pulled that color through the images with a water brush. I love easy technique to quickly add color. Bird image & sentiment are from the Cutest Crew stamp set. #stampinup #cardmaker #cardmaking #cardmakingreels #cutestcrew
