Global Design Project - CASE Challenge - GDP22- Free as a Bird

Hello friends. Welcome to another Global Design Project Challenge. Every Monday we have a new challenge for you to participate in. This week we are inspired to make a card based from the design of Shawn De Oliveira. Case the designer challenge = #gdp220

I absolutely love the embossed strip of gold on the bottom of Shawn’s card. It’s such a cool touch. I created a mini strip of copper on my card and built the design around that. I also used the Free as a Bird stamp set to make my card.

This card also features a little sneak peek of a new 3D embossing folder called the Parisian Flourish, available January 3.

Monday Montage 150 - Free as a Bird Birthday card

The Montage Montage crew is back today to share what we are working on.

Short & sweet post today. I’m back to making birthday cards and preparing swaps for OnStage For those who might be new here, OnStage is Stampin’ Up! convention and swaps are when we get together and swap card ideas. I have yet to come up with a good swap card but I did make this fun birthday card.

I have a bird loving friend who was having a birthday so I was in need of a special card for her. I love how the birds colored in Pool Party look against the Pretty Peacock plaid. These birds are colored using Stampin’ Blends, my favorite markers! Sweet and simple card for a sweet and simple post. Thanks for stopping by.

Free as A Bird - Stamp Review Crew

Welcome to the Free as Bird edition of Stamp Review Crew. This stamp set sure is a beauty and has quickly become a fast favorite from the 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up! Catalog. Every project I’ve seen with this set looks so good - a true sign of a great set.

My card today uses only the bird and the thank you greeting from this stamp set. I colored the bird using Stampin’ Blends. I pulled in a tiny piece of the coordinating Bird Ballad designer series papers and a key embellishment from the coordinating Bird Ballad embellishments. The background is from the Script 3d embossing folder. This is also a new favorite folder! Look how crisp the script text appears. I added a little pool party vignette to that embossed background behind the bird using a blending brush and Pool Party ink. It give the words just a little pop.

Loving this set. It’s likely my most used new catalog stamp set so far. Below are two additional projects I’ve created using this stamp set.
