TGIF Challenges 317 - Party Puffins, Give It a Whirl

Hello friends. This week the TGIF Challenges team is creating around the theme NEW CATALOG. There are so many new goodies in the new Stampin’ Up! catalog. This is the perfect week to play along with us since any new catalog product is fair game.

My card uses the Give it a Whirl dies and the Party Puffins stamp set. I made this card for my youngest childs birthday. He turns 11 next week. The whirl dies are so fun and when you spin this card the fish, candles and sentiment spin around the window. Did you notice the candles create the number 11? Extra fun!

A stencil with a little paste creates a lot of magic. I applied the Fools Gold paste directly on the Soft SeaFoam cardstock with a palette knife. The stamp set is an oldie but goodie: Dainty Delight. Welcome to our monthly Use Your Stash hop! Our theme is Pastes & Paints. Since many of my pastes were dried up (lesson learned, we should always use these quickly) I pulled out some newer pastes from Ranger. This paste called Astro Paste Shimmer Gold. I used the Tim Holtz Dot Fade texture THS006 stencil. I Keep all my pattern stencils on a O-ring so I don't forget what I have. The stamps and die-cuts are from a retired bundle called Dainty Delights. Check out what the rest of the team has come up with!
