Sea of Textures - Stamp Review Crew

July 29, 2018

Welcome to another edition of the Stamp Review. This week we are reviewing Sea of Textures. This set is all about the ocean life and texture. It's such a fun set to play around with and every project ends up having a very eclectic and unique look.

This stamp set has coordinating framelits that cut out a few of the stamp images, and also a few stand alone die cut ocean shapes.

My first card features the Octopus and and net stamp images. The background was created with a little Brusho color crystals. It kind of looks like the Octopus inked a little. Oops. To create this look I created an oval with with a water brush and dropped a little moss green Brusho onto the wet shape and watched the magic. The Octopus is stamped in Night of Navy.

This next card also features the Octopus. This time he is stamped in Gorgeous Grape and Blackberry Bliss using my Stamparatus and the rock 'n roll technique. I love these two colors together.

For the background I used the net die to create a stencil and filled in with silver embossing paste. Fun, fun.

Are you ready for a little underwater exploring? Next up is Ann. I can't wait to see her take on this stamp set. Thanks for visiting and please know I appreciate you and your lovely comments.

This blue and purple winter card uses tidbits from the Calm & Bright kit. I used the negative shape from the fir die cut to create a stencil and layered from there. Blend, stencil, stamp. Colors are Highlander Heather, Cloud Cover, & Lost Lagoon. @global_design_project #gdp525 #stampinup #calmandbright
Masking and stamping! On this card I mask with tape, blend ink, then stamp, then stencil, and stamp again to create a layered scene. It’s so satisfying to remove the masking tape… always a fun reveal. Sending Joy! I created this wintry scene using the Calm and Bright card kit. I love the look of white on white. I pulled in some gold embossing and Crumb Cake to balance out all that white. This CAS kit has tons of cute and tiny elements (yippee for tiny stamps) that are perfect for creating an adorable little holiday scene. 166461 Card created for @global_design_project BRRR theme. #gdp523 #stampinup #cardmaker #cardmaking #cardmakersofinstagram #cardmakingreels #madewithmine
