Tutorial Medley - Amazing Phrasing

Welcome to the August tutorial Medley. This month I am showcasing the Amazing Phrasing Saleabration stamp set. I’ve paired it with the Bewitching stamp set to make this funny card. If you purchase the supplies to make this card you are on your way to earning the Amazing Phrasing Stamp set for free. Message me for details.

Project instructions are below.

Measurements:

· Card Base: Basic White 4.25" x 11" folded to 4.25" x 5.5"

· Layer #2: Fluid 100 Watercolor paper 3” x 4”

Instructions:

· Cut and score card base. Fold in half using a bone folder.

· Stamp the star image from Bewitching in the bottom right and top left corners of the card base. Stamp three times to create a cluster of stars.

· Cut a piece of Fluid 100 cardstock to 3”x5”. Create a watercolor wash and drop in Orchid Oasis color around the outside edges of the wash using a water brush. Set aside and let dry. Once dry trim down to 2”x3”.

· Stamp ‘OOPS’ from Amazing Phrasing in Tuxedo black ink onto the Orchis Oasis watercolor fluid paper. Center and stamp on the top portion.

· Stamp ‘I’m the worst’ from Amazing Phrasing in Tuxedo black ink onto the Orchis Oasis watercolor fluid paper under the OOPS sentiment.

· Stamp ‘spider image’ from Bewitching stamp set in Tuxedo black ink onto the Orchis Oasis watercolor fluid paper hanging from the M.

· Mount to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals in top right corner of card approximately ¾” from top and side.

· Stamp the witch hat from Bewitching stamp in Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White cardstock. Punch out using coordinating witch hat punch. Center and mount to watercolor piece on card front. See card photo for placement suggestion.

· Using the witch hat punch out six stars from Crushed Curry cardstock. Adhere to card front around stamped stars. See card photo for placement suggestion.

· Add dots of white Pearlized Enamel Effects to the negative spaces around the stamped stars.

Global Design Project - GDP356 - Amazing Phrasing

I love this CARD Emma created and was thrilled at the opportunity to CASE it this week. Emma is an amazing artist and every card she creates is so inspiring. I really like how she used the Ray of Light stamp set to draw your eye to the HOORAY sentiment and flowers. I tried to do the same thing using the Ray of Light background and the Amazing Phrasing stamp set. On my card, the large paper star has been hand cut in POOL PARTY cardstock. The smaller stars come from various punches. CASE Emma’s card, give it a try and tag your project #gdp356

Stamp Review Crew - Bottled Happiness

August 14, 2022

Hello and welcome to the Bottled Happiness edition of Stamp Review Crew. The crew is exploring this stamp set and have come up with some great and varied ideas for you on how to use it. I’m finally using the set and punch together as intended and created a shaker card using the coordinating bottle domes.

My card today is all about PURPLE, I’m on a bit of a purple kick lately. You can see how I achieve this multi-colored stamp look by watching this video I created a while back. For this card I used Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party and Gorgeous Grape to ink the flowers.

Celebrate! Fall is my favorite time of year, and the colors in Maine right now are fire. Swipe to see a photo of this tree I quickly snapped from the side of the road. I had to pull over because it honestly didn’t look real. So vibrant, and no filter! The leaves look like Cajun Craze and Golden Glow came to life. Those two colors, along with Pretty Peacock, are the palette for this week’s @global_design_project color challenge. I used those two colors to create the pumpkins on this card. A stencil with a little paste creates a lot of magic. I applied the Fools Gold paste directly on the Soft SeaFoam cardstock with a palette knife. The stamp set is an oldie but goodie: Dainty Delight. Welcome to our monthly Use Your Stash hop! Our theme is Pastes & Paints. Since many of my pastes were dried up (lesson learned, we should always use these quickly) I pulled out some newer pastes from Ranger. This paste called Astro Paste Shimmer Gold. I used the Tim Holtz Dot Fade texture THS006 stencil. I Keep all my pattern stencils on a O-ring so I don't forget what I have. The stamps and die-cuts are from a retired bundle called Dainty Delights. Check out what the rest of the team has come up with!
